Ritz I thought you were going with the other lineup?
Some wise old man told me that I should do the lineup I posted so I'm following his advice.
No I didn't PM Shane but I will now.

Yogi Beers plays on UK's team... How awesome is that?
The funny thing is Yogi Bear loves pies and look who is batting before him.
1 Rickey Henderson LF R
2 Tony Gwynn RF L
3 Willie Mays CF R
4 Lou Gehrig 1B L
5 Harry Heilmann DH R
6 Pie Traynor 3B R
7 Yogi Beers C L
8 Alan Trammel SS R
9 Lou Whitaker 2B L
I actually thought he would find a way to use it on Joe D
Feller was a great pitcher but to say he's the 3rd best of all time is a bit of a stretch IMO. He lead the league in strikeouts 7 times so you are assuming his missed war years he wins it all 3 times. He also lead the league in walks 4 times so that might have been higher too. He allowed a league high in H/9 a few times as well. Wins and losses are a team stat. Great pitcher yes, top three? Not IMO.

Just my opinion, but Feller won 25 and struck out 260 the year before he left for the war. After four years, his first year back he won 26 and struck out 348. Conservative #'s would be an extra 80 wins and 1000K's
After Johnson and Mathewson, there are probably 10 that could make a case IMO. Feller, Grove, Young, Gibson, Carlton, Koufax, Unit, Maddux, Clemens
Young is the hardest to place for me. His career started in 1890, and he played for the Spiders, Perfectos, Americans, Naps and Rustlers. He didn't strike many guys out. On the other hand... He won 511 freaking games....lol
He struck out 300 only once I think it's a bit of a stretch to think he would have accumulated 1,000 strikeouts in those 3 years, probably closer to 700 would be more realistic.
The most strikouts he ever had was that year he had 348 then it dropped to 196, 164, 108, 119, 101, 81
