True.. But Barkley is quick enough to front Dirk and you know Sir Chuck is going to shove him around. It would be an interesting match up.

You are basically implying Dirk isnt a big body and isnt tough, plus the guy knows how to work the pump fake and get to the line. The length is a huge problem. Dirk is still 245

Shane Hondo played 45 minutes a game for 2 straight years...



I could go on but it all says the same stuff... The thing is, without a 3pt line you won't believe he's a 3pt shooter... And without watching old film and applying it to modern techniques in both basketball training and weight training you won't respect him... Wade is nowhere near Hondo...

Is he physical enough for a Wade back to the basket and great finisher. The answer is no. Could he wear Wade out, yes. One-on-one, I will take Wade everytime.

The only thing I can judge Hondo on is what he actually played against and the fact he didnt have to guard for the 3. I guarantee he never faced a guy with the versatilty, physicalness, and strength of Wade. Wade is underrated IMO. He was and is one of the greatest scorers at his size. He plays like a 6'6"-6'7" guy.

Everything Dirk does is a pull up jumper or a fade away jump shot. He's not a big banger for a PF is what I'm saying. I think you are under estimating Sir chucks physical nature, which is what made him a great player. Again, it's dam close. Even if Dirk does has a height advantage, I'm going to go with a higher % shot.

Personally for me - I like Tony Parker over Jason Kidd. I think Tony Parker has a better ball iq and is faster.

Second - I like the Nowitzki over Chris Webber who was always injured. Dirk also can flat out shoot them threes all day long which makes it necessary to guard him. Barkley is a good player, and WLK's team is a really good one though

I am not underestimating him at all. I had him in my last draft and defended how great he was. He was very athletic. But Dirk has 6 inches, he is getting the shots off. Even with Barkley being pesky and tough, the length of Dirk with the little post up fade shot is unstoppable. Now like I said Barkley will get his, so I think this matchup is pretty even.

Barkley was a great POST player/banger/rebounder. Every bit as good a Karl Malone.

Just because you get a shot off, doesn't mean you hit every one.. Which is why I would go with a higher % shot all day. I would go with the better defender all day, along with being more physical. So he's got 6" on Sir Chuck? That alone and jump shots isn't the whole game.. Add in the fact that Barkley would physically man handle you up and down the court.. Dirk would be "thinking" about that jump shot more and more.

Both got to the finals and got beat by the same team. Both had similar numbers. Chuck is a top 30 guy. That's fairly good. Hell doing what he did and being that much shorter is pretty dam good IMO.
