This is going to be a barn burner. Badgers have looked great and are tough to beat at Kohl. Hawks have probably the deepest team in the B10 and have played outstanding at Wisconsin their last 2 trips in. I expect this one to come down to the wire

Im sure he will get booed a ton much like Ben Brust did in Iowa City after decommiting from Iowa. Uthoff has been playing great this year too. 3rd in the league in points per minute played.

if Wisconsin wasn't undefeated I would think this is a lock for them. I don't know why but being undefeated always makes me think good teams are more vulnerable.

Gotta lose sometime. Better now than in the tourney.

This should be a great game. I really think this Wisconsin team has what it takes to win the whole thing. I love Dekker's game and Kamisky has played better than expected and is perfect for their system. I've been saying I think this is Bo's best team. It just feels like he has more athleticism with this team than he has in the past. Nigel Hayes off the bench is huge for them too. I expect them to be 21-0 going into the game against Ohio State at home, which I think they'll win. At the worst a 14-4 or 15-3 B1G record and they'll have a spot on the 1 line come Selection Sunday.

Wife stated before bed last night, "You don't have anything going on tomorrow night since the Broncos aren't playing do you?"

Me: Why?...

Wife: My parents asked if we wanted to go to Bonefish for supper, we're meeting them at 5pm.

Me: Argggg!

What stands out the most about these two teams is their overall efficiency on offense. UW is ranked 10th while Iowa is ranked 16th. Most would say that is fairly equal. However Wisconsin has faced a defensive SOS of 40 While Iowa's defensive SOS is 240. Add this to the fact that UW's defense is superior and HCA I find it difficult to see UW losing this game. But if anyone can beat UW at home Iowa has the best chance this year.

Good luck

I said this in another thread, but if UW tries to run with Iowa than it's going to be a long night at the Kohl. This is the most athletic team of the Bo Ryan era, but Wisconsin has to play a controlled tempo.

I hope Bronson Koenig plays his game tonight, when he's on the floor he can't be tempted to get into a running game with Iowa. I'm also intrigued to see how Nigel Hayes handles tonight's game. He's been such a force down low, in a pure up and down game, how many minutes Nigel can go at a time will be huge.

On, Wisconsin.

When was the last time there was an undefeated champion in college basketball? I know UNLV almost did it once but lost in the tourney.

1976 Indiana 32-0
1973 UCLA 30-0
1972 UCLA 30-0
1967 UCLA 30-0
1964 UCLA 30-0
1957 UNC 32-0
1956 San Francisco 29-0

I hope Iowa plays better at the end of the game than they did on New Years Eve in Iowa City. Iowa should have dominated Nebraska, especially in the clutch. They didn't dominate the clutch, Nebraska just did as bad as Iowa.

One player I have been pretty impressed with lately is Woodbury. He is not a top center in the B1G, but he is far better now than he was last season. He's doing less shooting in 3-pt range and stuff. His fouling is not as stupid as last season. I can handle him dong fouls you expect from a young center.

That's crazy...

UCLA won 88 in a row from '71-'74.

Bill Walton and one of my all time favorites - Jamaal (silk) Wilkes...kid had the smoothest, prettiest shot in all of basketball.

Going undefeated 4 times is incredible...but...
winning the National Championship 10-out-of-12 years (1963-1975)???

that's crazy!
