Good addition. Has he ever won a deadline trade? Ever? I guess the jury is still out on the Arozarena trade. I know some in here don't like him but has a respectable OBP even if his BA so far has sucked.
I think he won the Castillo deal, but problem was they did nothing after that. I will never understand why Drury wasn’t a part of that deal. Granted his second half wasn’t his first half but they needed another bat.

With Randy I don’t like the sulking when he wasn’t playing well. To this point when Julio is struggling he is still up cheering on the team and contributing defensively

This f’ing team. Don’t look like a major league offense against scrub pitchers but look competent against the best pitcher in the AL

Build a 3-0 lead...starts choking.

Had anyone told me that the lead was put up against SKUBAL, without my already looking it up, I'd have said they were off their rocker.

But reality is kicking in again. Just blow it all and get it over with already.

since the instant last season ended, i've said the m's need to get rid of haniger and garver if they want to show they're real about trying to win. pretty sure it was one of my first posts of the offseason.

they finally ate haniger's contract, but they're keeping on garver even though he wouldn't have a spot on any contender's 40-man. not one. not even if he's a personal catcher to the likes of kirby. it's a fucking joke and it needs to be over.

at a minimum, they also need to have a professional-level infield go out consistently and learn how to play together well. bare bones minimum for a team that hopes to contend. it's not a lot to ask.

the offense is what it is and there's not a fucking thing that the m's will do to address it, but the least they can do is address what I said above.

anyhoo, castillo has looked really good and it's nice to see the m's deny skubal a win at least. baseball is weird.

You are fighting against Dipoto's ego. He can waive Haniger because he didn't give him that contract. But Garver is his. He won't give up on the guy. He isn't about to admit he made a mistake.

It would help if 1st, 2nd, and 3rd base were not revolving doors. But, again, that is on Dipoto. Last year we had an excellent fielding 3rd basemen but once the calendar flipped to May, he could no longer hit. And I don't think we have had a decent second baseman since Bret Boone.

Munoz just walked the first two hitters in the top of the ninth

Mariners about to give away a game that they pretty much had wrapped up

And the bags are now packed with one out

2 plays involving runners heading home that moore handled well. nobody wants to see polanco in those situations, but they're coming lol.

that was a nice save. guardians finally scored a couple runs for the first time in 16 innings, but still down to the 6-0 pads.

first day off for the m's. let's sweep the giants.

I used to LIVE for hitting balls with that thing after school every day lol. Nostalgia is a crazy thing.
Same here. My best friend and I would play homerun with one almost daily. Nothing better.

Torpedo bats will improve the M’s offense !! But I just caught word M’s ownership can’t fit them in the budget …..
Having the torpedo bats is one thing...

you still gotta teach plate discipline.

Glad they avoided the sweep, but we can't just rely on the last game every series.

In high leverage it isn’t as big of a deal though. Having a 98 mph fastball with any kind of offspeed pitch works. IMO Hancock, in theory, could be very similar to Matt Brash. I’m pretty sure we all kind of said the same thing with Brash cause all he had was a fastball and a slider that he never could, or really does, throw for a strike. I could be way off, but I thought for awhile if they aren’t going to trade him then they should give that a shot.

I totally agree they should’ve traded him, but I still contend Jerry didn’t want to part with any of the prospects. IMO Hancock and one of their top 10 could’ve gotten Bohm and Hancock and one of the top 5 could’ve gotten Hoerner
I totally agree he could be used in high leverage but no command on the off speed so he's still long relief at best. It's worrisome if he'll figure it out.

We're stuck with ownership doesn't spend in FA and Jerry doesn't want to trade top prospects. It's twilight zone shit.
