I'm not sure that's necessarily true, if you draft a big time freshman who transfers after a year they are still liable to be a player you could possibly keep the next year.

Until they do something dumb like Dante moore did

Was strongly considering Anthony Colandrea with one of my next picks. Little surprised (not shocked) that he was still there.

BINGO. Dumb short term but maybe smart long term I suppose.. But for fantasy purposes.

Dante Moore and Malachi Nelson sorta killed at least the early keeper picks.

Glad those 2 scrubs went in the 7th round and I was able to grab Nico in the 11th round

For the record as we get late in the draft and you need a keeper might as well take a shot (I know in your case you feel you have options but just saying for anyonn else who may not feel that way) but just seems like the early on keepers with the new portal rules are greatly impacted now.

I am not looking to throw a keeper pick away that doesn't end up a keeper in the first 12 rounds or whatever but if you do it later on, well probably a smart idea.

Now, there are young keeper options early on who also make sense early on too. So there is still there... Like Danote Moore made sense to me a year ago, he was likely to play right away where we knew Nelson wouldn't barringn injury. That was 100% keeper ad I think picks like that have totally changed with the potal.

Moore was probably a bad example since it appeared he was likely to win the starting job as a FR. You get the point though.

Oh yea the rounds in the 20s are major dart throws anyways so I totally agree here. I'd definitely be more hesitant on taking a future keeper type with not much potential this year in the earlier rounds.

It was just nice for me this year because I have 2 guys who should be keepers next year already and was able to build depth instead of taking stabs at guys who might not even play this year.

Going into the draft my plan was to end up with Demond Williams. This was based on everything that I had read about him. That plan changed after the draft started to play out and I would have taken him with my next pick if he made it back to me. Looking forward to seeing how he does.

We started two a days today and we still have 2 rounds left. Hope to catch those guys up on the playbook when they arrive.

First small injury in the league.

Virginia WR Chris Tyree is in a boot. Doesn't appear serious but will slow him back a bit.
