Massachusetts has a new tax that will screw professional athletes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone earning over $1,000,000 per year will be paying an additional 4% SURTAX on all income over that $1000,000.

This tax is called the "Fair Share Amerndment"

Good Luck signing free agents for any team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really think this will make zero difference.

It's an additional $40,000 tax per million, If you're signing a $15M per year deal, that's an additional $600,000 tax.

I understand the math., still don't think it makes a difference. Teams and Agents find way's to deal with this stuff. I have never heard a player say, well shit I won't play there they have taxes.

Additional.
In addition to the Mass flat rate of 5%.

So that's $90,000 on every $mil over the first. A grand total of $1,400,000.00 gone off the top of that $15,000,000.

Not counting what Old Joe takes, that $1.4 mil is a big chunk and could be a difference maker.

2.5 hours into Free Agent Frenzy and "Burn Some Cash" Mayo looks like he's full of shit.

Wolfe and he could at least sign a lower level guy or two to make up for releasing a special teamer.

Easiest way to lose respect is to never attempt to gain it.

No, the easiest way to lose respect is to take an action just to prove something to others.

Signings so far have not improved this team from 4-13 to 5-12.

Easiest way to lose respect is to dfo nothing to spite others.

Because it upsets you.

I expect more than we had for the past 23 years when free agency started. We got assimilated to never making any moves on the first or second day and signed third day leftovers. Usually because there was not much money to spend. With pockets full of cash, Iam expecting the new front office to be much more active, even if they swing and miss.

Antonio Gibson was about 116th on my list of possibilities. I'm expecting to hear more about the must haves.

Oh Jesus H. Christ it doesn't upset me, but idiotic overreactions need to be called out.

Forum Members: Pleased note any NFL team that has not made significant changes in the first 2.5 hrs are done. We can all log out and log back in after the draft.

Dude I get that you are bored but this is asinine.
