I think he only missed 6 games before last year if I'm looking at his career right. He did miss almost all of last year, though.

I'm guessing it will take a 2-3 year contract to get him.
29yo receiver that played in just 3 games is most likely getting a 1 year deal.....maybe a 2 year deal that is front loaded with guaranteed money.

2021 was his last good season. And as good as he has been.....only cracked 1k receiving yards twice.

Allen is the better WR.

Allen is/was absolutely the better WR.

Williams is 2.5 years younger.

Williams also is more prone to injury. He always seems to be battling an injury and last season played just 3 games.

They going to select a receiver in this loaded and deep draft.

Considering they just drafted a WR in rd 1 last year? I get drafting a WR at some point, but I don't think it'll be early on unless Harbaugh is unimpressed with Q.Johnston.

I was just getting ready to point out that Q Johnston was pretty clearly drafted to replace M Williams.

I do think the Chargers could pick a WR in rd1 but thats mostly because I think the top 3 or top 5 WRs might be highly coveted.

As far as a cut, probably. They can restructure or hold off signing some of their agreed FA, then continue to try the trade route.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports EDGE Khalil Mack will remain a Los Angeles Charger this season after “agreeing to restructure his deal.”
Mack entered the offseason with a staggering $38.5 million cap hit for the 2024 season. With Schefter noting that Mack agreed to the restructure, it’s safe to assume he took some sort of pay cut to remain in LA. The Chargers were already cap compliant after cutting Mike Williams and this move now gives them more wiggle room in free agency. It will also clear up space to allow them to sign their incoming rookie class. With Mack in town for another year, the Chargers could look to trade Joey Bosa. The star EDGE is a terror to opposing quarterbacks when healthy but has appeared in just 14 games over the past two seasons. Mack posted one of the best years of his career in 2023, amassing 17 sacks and 21 TFLs while playing in all 17 games.
