I wouldn't. The Vikings aren't that far away.

Ok, i was wondering if desperation mode kicked in. Not sure who will accept their offer to move up but im sure a team will do it.

I still like Sanders at TE in the 2nd. He didn't run a great 40 but his tape is solid

Saw a report where the Giants have injury concerns about Jones. Feels like Minnesota is desperately trying to get in front of NY.

I've seen JJ above Drake on some boards lately.

You're right about Sanders. He didn't run well at the combine. Logan Paulsen also said his route tree is limited. Not very good on crossing routes.(paraphrasing)

If they don't move up, you'd have to assume LT is one of the picks in the 2nd round. The other feels like it could go anywhere. (RT, CB, WR, TE)

Doesn't that fly in the face of the take BPA crowd?

If an edge is there...why not take them early?

Farrell and Fowler are 1 year deals?
If you are into BPA strictly

I certainly hope they are not done at corner. FA or draft.
The secondary as is will get shredded.

They will be better by virtue of having someone who can actually coach, but the talent is lacking when compared to other rosters.

Hoping Quinn and co. can coach them up, but rolling into week 1 with St. Juste and Forbes is somewhat of a gamble imo. Davis has had good years.

Still I'd like to see a boundary vet added or maybe someone at 40.

I think the concern is his ceiling. At least for me. Is JJ's ceiling high enough to take at 2? 2022 Drake Maye and 2023 Jayden have shown they have a high ceiling. That's my worry.
Explain to me why you think Maye or Daniels have a higher ceiling. I am not saying you are wrong .... I am just wondering what you see in them that might be much better than McCarthy can do. To me JJ already has the intangibles.

I think Peters is going to draft Maye or Daniels and am fine with that but if he could trade back, get McCarthy and pick in the 1st round this year or next I would not be butt hurt.

Wondering if they try to move Justin Jefferson
I think Hunter and Cousins were the sacrificial lambs for JJ. See what happens, at one point JJ was saying he wanted to play with Cousins.

Maye was asked to do more and be more for his team, which he did in 2022.

Jayden's running ability and defenses having to gameplan for that and maybe even spy him is what gives him a high ceiling imo. Jayden is the only player in FBS history that has 12,000 passing yards and 3,000 rushing yards. 40tds to 4int in the SEC isnt bad.

I'm not saying JJ couldn't have done what Drake and Jayden did, it's just that we don't know for sure because he wasn't asked to.

I'm sure scouts can break down tape and determine that, but it's still the unknown vs. what we've seen.

JJ has passed Drake on a bunch of boards and mocks. Brady was a 6th round draft choice. Maybe JJ's ceiling is higher and the scouts know this, hence him moving up.

This kid can play. He has played in more big games than any of the top three QBs. Reports that he does not have a strong arm are wrong. He can throw down the middle, throw deep and make tight window throws. He can extend plays and and throws well on the run.
JJ has good tape! I'm a lot more open to taking him than I was a month ago. If Peters feels he's the guy, I'll roll with it. He found Purdy.

If he takes him at 2 I would be pissed because he didn’t trade down and got extra picks

Did peters find Purdy or was it lynch?

Or do we know because I honestly don't.

I have read multiple times here that peters did not have anything to do with trey Lance but found Purdy.

That could all be true. I would need a 49er fan to explain it to me because I am not a 49er fan.

That being said, it seems to be a very pro commanders narrative that peters would be blameless in the Lance disaster but be the hero in finding Purdy.

That could exactly what happened. However, it doesn't seem truthful to me.

As always kbso, this is in no way directed at you. You are a hair behind keim in my book my friend.

I've heard Jahbvala say that Lance was on Shanahan and Lynch. Hard to imagine the 3rd guy in charge gets to make that kind of a trade. As far as Purdy, I saw an interview where Peters was talking him up, making it seem like it was his decision.
