What are we on the hook for with his salary?
Its base and what else?
I think I would do that trade...BUT...even though Herbert is all-world, why couldn't the team do better with the roster they had? Is it really all coaching? You have to at least ask that question. However he's so amazing, i think you have to make that trade
We will give them our 2nd pick in the 1st round for their 5th pick in the 1st round and Herbert

As fans people can root for who they want but as for me I don't care if they draft Mr. Magoo as long as he can play.

Nicki Jahbvala was on with Sheehan and made it seem like it's understood that Peters did not trade for and draft Trey Lance. That was more of a Shanahan and Lynch thing.

Makes sense. I highly doubt the third guy on the totem pole has the authority to make that kind of trade.

As Asst GM I am sure he was not the lead on the decision to draft Lance. I have also heard he wasn't behind that pick but never know how much he was in on the pick.

49ers have had some big misses at the top of the draft. I'm a little nervous. I like what Peters is doing. He has a plan. I see it. Vets on one or two year deals until he can replace them with draft picks.

I've said before, I remain skeptical of the Mariota and Allegretti signings. Everything else I love so far. This pick is crucial. Word broke this morning on the Junkies that McCown who is the QB coach in Minnesota was Maye's QB coach in high school. Minnesota is going to call us.

San Fran did their best drafting in the later rounds of the draft so with 6 picks in the first 3 rounds I have my fingers crossed.

Having the 2nd pick in the draft gives hope but look at the early round picks Washington has had, the track record isn't great. New sheriff in town, let's hope.

I am mostly pleased as well. Sound strategy and good players have been signed.

I agree with you on thr mariota andegretti signings.

I am a tad nervous regarding the OLine, DB, and WR fronts, but it's still very, very early.

Peters is going to make mistakes and it's absurd to think he won't. Every GM does.

Thus far l, I giving him an A.
