Speaking of QB battles. Ohio State's is still ongoing

I'm thinking it's going to be Devin Brown, think it woulda been called by now if McCord was gonna be the guy. Word is Brown has "really impressed" everyone. Day probably "letting it play out" more to keep McCord happy enough to stick around for the year instead of bowing out and sitting out transferring. Lucky for @JonBlaze he has both.

One would think if McCord had it, they'd have named him earlier since it was pretty much expected. 5* recruit and experience in the system and all. But honestly I'd like it to be Brown for the mobility factor. And yes thankfully I was able to get both!

Funny tidbit... After hearing of the Greene injury I stressed over Isaiah Bond s Wesley Grimes for my rd 24 pick.

Ended up taking Bond and put in a waiver claim right after the draft for Grimes. Probably the earliest waiver claim submitted in soul 12 history! Not even sure he will start but wanted to use the roster spot (even though it cost me 5 points)

I need camp bodies in practice anyway!

Seems like it has been a calmer PS injury list then years past but we are now at 3 season enders and 1 gambling.

The victims

Donavon Greene, WR, Wake Forest- This one hurts. I think he was going to end up being Wake's #1 WR this year if healthy. (Draft Crazy)

Jirehl Brock, RB, Iowa State- There had been some talk about him between his injury and possible gambling violation. He fell in the draft. Not too big of a hit here for (Navin) but still sucks.

Cam Davis, RB, Washington- Good late round flyer. No more. (DHoey)

Branson Robinson, RB, Georgia- In typical Navin fashion. A PS injury and his second player to most likely be out for the season (assuming Brock is, he already left the program)

So far pretty light. Good to see this because I feel like this list is usually 6-8 by the time the season starts. I think Greene hurts but it wasn't like I drafted him to be my #1 WR either.

Probably smarter way... I just jumped on a player basically because I had the IR spot and it was a player I had basically typed in round 24. Couldn't make up my mind, stressed about it, decided to take the other guy and just thought oh well at least if he does turn out it only cost me 5 points. In other words. I bought a round 25 pick for 5 points.

If it makes you feel better I think pretty much everyone has had at least one injury where the guy may not be ready for the season. Not many long term injuries so far though. Less then usual. Knock on wood. I think so far I have one draft pick who is out for most of the season if not all of the season and Navin lost a player to gambling. Normally we have about 5 or 6 at this point before the season starts.

I don't know what's going on in the state of Iowa but y'all got a gambling problem.

Sucks to start but you know it will work out quickly. I always hate week 1 because of things like this.

Seems like similar to Michigan last year where they named McNamara the "starter" but you knew he wasnt going to last as that long

Had no idea that Badger was suspended for the first half of the first game of the year due to a personal foul from the last game of last year. Probably will have to start someone else. That game will probably be over with in the first half.
