Ehhh what's the point, not one of these moves shows anything more than being a bottom feeder.

So far they sign
Rich Hill for 8 Million
Austin Hedges for 5 Million
Vince Velasquez for 3.5 Million
Jarlin Garcia for 2.5 Million
Carlos Santana for 6.725 Million

-Spent over 25 million on FA's and not one will make a difference on this team, except maybe a good trade chip come the deadline. Huge IF depending on, they aren't DFA'ed by then.

Acquire:
Connor Joe
Ji-Man Choi

First road sweep of AL team since 2018. Are things going to be better this year??

Probably not, but a good start to very early season wasn't expected.

There's some reason for optimism, but it's hard to give the Pirates the benefit of the doubt, largely due to ownership. Fucker needs to sell the team.

There's some talent in the rotation with Keller and Contreras. Reynolds and Cruz would potentially give them something to build around in the lineup, with some interesting hitting prospects about to reach the majors, but it's just a matter of time before Reynolds is traded.

The Hayes contract is going to hurt them. The glove is great, but he can't hit, and it will give Nutting an excuse to be even cheaper than usual.

Well it was fun while it lasted, but think the hopes of a good season have disappeared.

Yep it is all gone.

High notes of this season might end up actually being:

1. McCutchen return
2. Letting a 33-year-old get his first hint of the majors. Along with his first hit.

4-13 so far in May. I really don't follow Baseball much, curious what happened to the hot start?

Reality sunk in? :D

Anyway would like them to take a shot at him to help fill the Cruz void:

Nice little 5 game win streak, With Oak up next, a 3-0 or 2-1 at worst should be expected.
