Miami is reportedly prepared to throw a bank at him. Ross is supposedly more than willing to give him a better deal than Jalen Ramsey's.

The Bengals are in a bidding war against the Dolphins for O-Line. I pray they do this.

Ramsey's contract isn't that big anymore.

Things are about to change by quite a bit. Adams is going to get a likely $25M AAV this offseason from Green Bay and then all shit will hit the fan.
A guy like Nick Bosa next offseason will sign a contract that wont look crazy because his 5th year tender will be included but the real extension will likely be $30M AAV when you do the math. And it will just continue from there.

A player signing a 5 year deal right now will be playing under a $320M salary cap by the end of his contract.

QB options drying up....the Steelers and Colts gonna be bidding for somebody like Jimmy G.
I don't see a reason to get involved in trading for QB's when there are guys like Winston and Trubisky and Mariota and Bridgewater available.

We're not talking about franchise guys. These are bridge players.

I think Jimmy G is the best option of those.

May not require more than a 3rd rounder.

Still a bridge player, imo. I don't even think I would say he'd be better than Jameis or Trubisky, who don't require any draft picks.

I wouldn't trade for him.

Jimmy G or Winston. If you can't get neither, tank your heart out.

Jameis Winston is so disrespected around the community lol. Take shots > Captain checkdowns.

I think New Orleans tries to bring Winston back but he is likely the best choice of what is left out there in the QB pool. From all accounts, his rehab is going great and he has the most upside, imo. JimmyG is what he is at this point but this shoulder surgery s a question mark that might make a F.O. think twice about giving up assets for him. He will still be in the mix but most teams look at him as a placeholder until the 2023 draft.

How can they afford him though? And why would he want to go back when they have to jettison talent to get back under the cap?

I can't imagine the Saints being able to outbidor out-entice the Steelers there if the Steelers want him.

So not true though.

You win games with lesser QB talent by staying on schedule, having a running game, not turning the football over....and most importantly having a top defense.

Winston lack of accuracy, holding the ball too long and taking too many sack and most importantly his inability to protect the football kills teams. You can have a great defense but if Winston is the QB that defense isnt so great because they are defending short fields way more often. Payton and the Saints did have him playing better but who knows if that will translate to a new/different team.

Tampa Bay went from one of the worst defenses in the league with Winston to a top 10 unit immediately with Brady. That wasn't a coincidence. How your QB plays directly impacts how your defense plays.

Worth mentioning that Jameis Winston was 5-2 being Captain Checkdown in New Orleans and 28-42 'taking shots' in Tampa Bay.

And his TD/int ratio was 14/3. And without Michael Thomas. I think he would be a good fit in Indy tbh. Wouldn't be asked to do too much but could still stretch the field when asked.

Apparently Daniel Jeremiah says that the expectation around the NFL is that Seattle is the destination for Watson

NFC West could still end up just as stacked as ever

Hopefully not, I want to see a team that hasn't won recently to acquire him but I'm sure he has his preferred teams.
