  • Washington Commanders
    BRAEDEN DANIELST, WASHINGTON COMMANDERS
    https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/football/nfl/player/70576/braeden-daniels

Commanders selected Utah OL Braeden Daniels with the No. 118 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Although he lacks a bit of heft and stature, Daniels was one of the leaders of an impressively physical blocking unit for Utah. Despite his lack of height, his arms and wingspan put some of the length concerns to rest. He is a smart and safe blocker who displays adequate strength to maintain blocks and the flexibility in hips and position. He lacks the top-end athleticism that might have put him higher in the draft. Over five seasons in Salt Lake City, Daniels played a season’s worth of games at three different positions. With an outstanding RAS of 9.56, Daniels will need extensive coaching to unlock the physical skills that showcased his physicality in protecting and making holes for Cam Rising.

CBSSports' Chris Trapasso gave the Braeden Daniels selection a 'C+.'

"Could play OT or be an athletic guard at the next level. Loves quick-setting and getting DLs in a hurry after the snap. Athletic specimen. Recovery skill is there. Has to get much stronger and does lean into a lot of his blocks, which hurts his balance. Early though."

I could see him giving Sadiq a run for a roster spot.

I hope we can land Zack Kuntz or Josh Whyle
Are either of these guys hands down better than any of the 5 TEs we currently have on the roster?

Picking a guy at a spot because you have a perceived need at that spot is usually a bad idea.
