If they go corner at 16 they need to take the guy that has the the most potential to ba a shutdown corner. I can't spend my 1st based on JDR who might not even be here next year.
well he is going to the senior bowl so we will get a good look at him

maybe in the 3rd round or if they trade down in the 2nd need more picks
I have him graded as a 2nd round selection, if they can get him in the 3rd round, he would definitely provide the competition that Howell needs.

Could be a 6th WR and a punt return option. You can usually get him in the 5th or 6th round in most simulators.

The idea would be that you are not going to pass up on a fantastic player to take a good player. We’re never going to do that. But when you’ve got two players close together and one players at a need position and the other players not at a need position, if they’re that close, of course you’re always going to address the need player with a need-based pick.

the essence of how i draft

From reading the comments sections on Hogs Haven, I sense a general consensus among those advocating to draft for need that the top three priorities should be OT, IOL and LB. Cornerback comes up fairly frequently too. From a pure needs-based drafting perspective, however, it is not as big a need as the first three

this is how i see our needs although i would add qb for sure

Of the Commanders four major needs, CB has the second highest position value after LT. It also has the second highest chance of drafting an immediate starter. , drafting a OT or CB in this draft could be the best way to guarantee a starter as a rookie
If the Commanders wanted to optimize the value of their first-round pick, they might do well to prioritize CB, which has the best combination of hit rate and position value, and is also stacked in the first round of this draft. On the other hand, it is the least of the four major needs. From a pure needs perspective, they should probably wait to address it, even if an elite prospect is pushed down the board to Pick #16.

They were counting on WJ3 replacing Darby. BSJ had concussions the first year and missed damn near half the season with an ankle. BSJ goes down again we will have Johnson on the outside or God forbit Holmes or Wildgoose. The Skins were forced to play McCain, a safety, in the slot last year. Left Tackle is a big need imo, but so is corner.

Adding a guy like Porter Jr. or Gonzalez might give Sweat and Chase and extra second or two to get home.

I go back and forth between LT and Corner, but right now Im kinda hoping they grab one of the corners I mentioned if there. If both those guys are gone the decision is easy. If Paris Johnson is there, probably have to take him. Its so early though. Guys will rise and fall. Im just speaking as things stand now.
