I was wondering about that and the other comparisonsPickett is not even close to Goff horrible comparison
Howell actually reminded me of baker a little. More so the look I guessPickett is not even close to Goff horrible comparison and Corral I think is a better passer then Mayfield
I didn't think Corral played all that well either. They won, but Matt Corral has a fumbling issue! There were also at least a couple of passes, because he has accuracy issues, that were nearly picked. (They weren't because of bad hands on the defensive guys)
Corral played okay, not great. He is playing injured and they beat a team ranked higher than them.I didn't think Corral played all that well either.
I think I'm viewing these quarterbacks through the lens of it they are worth a top 5 pick instead of their overall play. Maybe that's unfair.Corral played okay, not great. He is playing injured and they beat a team ranked higher than them.
When there's a real possibility that your team is selecting in the top 5, that evaluation Absolutely MUST be made. It's not unfair because the one thing that you don't want to do is over-draft by position ranking because your team is hungry, perhaps desperate for a QB. Overall play is the measuring stick for ranking players because you incorporate everything intrinsically, and extrinsically, about them where it counts most...on the field! Two things can be true at the same time, and in this case, one determines the other. You're not being unfair at all, in fact, if you look at the rankings of the professionals, you'll find that they rank drafting slots by best player overall, not position.I think I'm viewing these quarterbacks through the lens of it they are worth a top 5 pick instead of their overall play. see i think trading up for lance , fields and jones would have been and overdraft and an expense of resourcesWhen there's a real possibility that your team is selecting in the top 5, that evaluation Absolutely MUST be made. Do not rule out RB and or WR in this draft. As of now:
FA
Starting OLB
Veteran MLB
Starting FS (I know Rivera is high on McCain, so we'll see)
Draft
1 QB
2 CB (no problem going CB in the 1st and QB in the 2nd depending on how the draft shakes out)
3 OLB
4 G
6 K (depending on how Slye finishes)
I thought about that. Team definitely needs a workhorse. If McKissic leaves, might have to replace him too.Do not rule out RB and or WR in this draft.
Don't under estimate the volume McKissic receives here in Turners offense. He may not want to leave for a destination that will allow for less work.I thought about that. Team definitely needs a workhorse. If McKissic leaves, might have to replace him too.
I like our wideouts. With a healthy Samuel and Logan Thomas, I think a QB that has NFL arm talent should certainly be enough.
leaning this way tooI wouldn’t trade up for a qb or overdraft one , I think round 2 might be an option if the top guys aren’t at 9
Especially if this is a “ weak “ classleaning this way too
as long as we draft a QB in R1 or 2, not that disturbed by our draft order and all this anguish of movement back and forth with top 5 pick
Just hoping nobody comes with a crazy$ offer.Don't under estimate the volume McKissic receives here in Turners offense. He may not want to leave for a destination that will allow for less work.
