RB/KR/PR Zonovan Knight - NC State - this is a guy that I think can be a late round steal. Highly rated recruit who played bigger than his stats because he split time with another good draft option in Ricky Person. State used a heavy rotation of 3 guys. Knight could start day 1 as our kick returner and punt returner. State never used him as a punt returner because we already had the ACC's best PR. Knight has not great but better than an RB we have and has good hands. I would say he is best at what we would be stretch plays because he had top 3 draft draft prospect LT Icky Ekwonu out there blocking for him. Zo had a career 5.45 ypc average and a 6.87 yards per reception. Zo had a 30.8 yard average on kick returns which got him all-american honors for 2021. This is a kid that is very similar to Nyheim Hines (played at State) for the Colts. He has a 4.49 40 at his pro day. Currently projected as a 6th round pick but could go as high as the 4th and is ranked as the 12th RB in this draft class who has the potential to develop into a 3 down starter but comes in with a chance to immediately provide the same kind of dividends that Hines gives to the Colts.

I forgot to mention how hard Bam is to bring down. He rarely went down on the first contact whether he spun out of the tackle (he has a great spin move) or he ran through the tackle. Lots of times it took 2 to 3 guys to bring him down. When he gets to the edge and plants his foot he has an excellent burst. If you watch the video above, you see 5 or 6 of his returns. I think he had 3 KR's for TD last season

Unless we take a QB in round 1, we could have a really great draft if we took WR Garrett Wilson/Chris Olave/Drake London in round 1 and potentially RB Zonovan Knight in round 5 or 6. That gives us a really great WR group, and great RB group with the guys we already have and it gives us a guy that could be one of the best KR's in the league, and I'm sure he would be a good option at PR as well. We would never need more than 5 RB's and 5 WR's because Bam Knights takes care of the KR/PR duties. That means we don't have to carry a 6th WR whose value is really only as a returner. All the other picks can be used on CB, Safety, LB and Oline

I agree. I am hoping somebody trades up for a QB and we slide back and get a shot at Olave.

Hopefully the Packers trade up for a WR. is Olave the 3rd best WR in this class?

I believe you are correct. My limited understanding with the WR class is that its:

1. Wilson
2. London
3. Olave

This draft is awful. Even if Wilson and London are of the board, there is no way we are going Burks over Olave.

decent draft
I want to ask both of you a question and I'm dead serious when asking it.
Why is it that this team seems always bent on getting second tier players and projects?

because they think they can make players out of them instead of being smart
