Looks like Canada decided on filling the roster with old slow lumbering oafs.
Some of them look awfully familiar

Maybe it's just me, but the Spengler Cup has better quality hockey than what I'm seeing tonight.

Had no clue until they just mentioned it but the US has the youngest squad at the Olympics.

And it is nice to see those younger players shine so far.

They're all over the Canadians because they're younger and faster. What the heck is 63 year old Adam Cracknell doing on Team Canada?

Yeah it seemed the roster they put together wasn't designed for Olympic hockey. But it might be in their favor the later it goes in the tournament if they can keep the hitting up.

At least team USA old guys are either scratched or play a fast game.
Abdelkader is scratched and it seems Andy Miele plays with speed. Granted I had no clue who he was prior to his goal but it seems he played for the Coyotes a decade ago.

Eric Staal showing that veteran leadership you'd like to see when you're trailing by two goals.

He knew what he was doing. Knowing his team could score shorthanded without him.

Maybe all those odd man rushes that Canada gave up earlier have tired the Americans out?

I heard
Staal needs one more dumb penalty for a hat trick.
Realizes his team needs a goal so sitting in the box gives Team Canada the best chance.

Watching the awful Team USA PP. Staal is doing the right thing taking those penalties.

Corban Knight, Kenny Agostino. I'm getting bad Flames teams flashbacks.

He was one of three players traded for Iginla.
That deal reminded me of the Jagr deal (pit->wash). The three players in return ended up being garbage.
