Medicine Hat, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers are proud to announce the signing of 2008 born forward Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll (Salt Lake City, UT) to a WHL Scholarship & Development Agreement Thursday.
Gordon-Carroll, 15, was selected in the first round of the 2023 WHL US Prospects Draft, 9th overall to the Tigers. Gordon-Carroll played with the Chicago Mission U15AAA program during the 2023-2024 season, winning a gold medal at US Nationals this season.
When speaking with the Tigers for the first time, Shaeffer says he’s excited to become a Tiger.
“I’m looking forward to working with Coach Willie Desjardins & speaking with him and Associate Coach once I was drafted by Medicine Hat, I always felt welcomed,” he says. “I’m excited to get started with the organization that has a very bright future and the aspirations to win a championship.”

The Ducks might have found a real gem in Yegor Sidorov who is currently playing for Saskatoon, they got him in the third round (85th overall) in the 2023 draft, he had 50 goals during the regular season and currently has 12 goals in 10 playoff games.
