Chiefs come back from 4-1 down in the 3rd to force OT.
And Spokane just won 5-4 in OT (Cristall with the winner).

I was actually rooting for Portland in this one. I need a shower. The Cheaterhawks have eliminated the Silvertips winning 4-2 in game 7. Meanwhile in Spokane, the Royals and Chiefs are going to OT in game 6 tied at 4-4.
With Lethbridge's victory over Calgary it'll be 2 pairs of old school rivals battling for their respective conference championships. You love to see it.
Should Spokane beat Portland, Medicine Hat would be the most exciting match up, but OTOH both times the Chiefs won the Memorial Cup they beat Lethbridge in the finals. Regardless gotta get past Portland first, they're playing very well right now. They score a ton of goals and D is not Spokane's strength.
The most surprising part of that to me is that the Tigers and Hurricanes have only ever played twice in the playoffs. This will be the 13th series between Spokane and Portland.Tigers have never beaten the Hurricanes in the playoffs (0-2) although I'm pretty sure in the 70's that the Tigers defeated the Lethbridge Broncos in a playoff series. I think Hurricanes goalie Jackson Unger is the most important player in this series (yes, even over McKenna), he has the ability to steal a game or two. That said, the Hurricanes are battling some injuries to key players and there's a chance that the Tigers might get Andrew Basha back at some point in this series.
I guess that's a roundabout way to say that I think the Tigers should win, but it will be a close series (6 games at least).
