If I have one criticism of McKenna, it's that he tries to be too fancy at times when the simple play is available. This game could easily be tied courtesy of a bad McKenna turnover and Harry had to come up with two big saves.

Bedard kinda had the same thing. It'll get knocked out of him at the next level.

We always have kids moving up from Bantam that are so used to just driving the puck right at the net and don't realize until after they get carried back to the bench and the bells stop ringing that you can't do that in high school. The really good ones learn how to spread the D out and hit the open guy (and in the process preserve their own lives).

There's a lot that I am excited about for Lindstrom, but there's something about him that I guess I didn't realize. He has some power. There was just a play where he was next to the net and puck went behind. Without even taking a full step he just launched a guy roughly the same size off his feet and into the boards. He just sort of exploded, and in one step hit the dude like he had a run up.

Any scouts watching this tourney are going to say we need to offer Rousseau a contract.

When you have the puck as much as he does, it's bound to happen, but you just need to be smarter with the puck. You can only get away with it so many times.
