I was hoping for Mac Jones to fall a bit more.

I don’t think he has much upside at all, but he could be my Mahomes bye week filler for years.

I am stunned by all the QB yes.
We've done this for how many years now? Six? Not counting Suicide drafts.
Usually, RB are drafted early and often.
Only 5 RB were taken in round 1. That's gotta be a record.
More WR were taken (6).
And nearly as many QB (4).

For the record Joe, I know I gave you a hard time about Trubisky being a bust as soon as he was drafted.

Fields is quite the opposite. Your Bears did quite well getting him.

He should be your best QB in a long long time. Maybe ever.

2018 rookie draft - 10 RB and the first 8 picks!
2019 rookie draft - 5 RB (8 WR dominated)
2020 rookie draft - 8 RB

RB has filled out over those years. Most teams are three deep with at least a solid duo. There just aren’t enough rookies worthy this year.

I was against Denver going QB this year at 9 early in the off season, but I warmed up to the idea the closer we got to the draft, especially when Fields was a possibility. I don't hate passing on him, but I will be watching him closely and hope that decision doesn't bite us in the ass in a few years
