You think him changing the rules so that Kyrie could sit courtside, but couldn't play...is helping them?

It is not about helping the nets. The rule is simply dumb. You can't allow unvaccinated people in the arena including kyrie but then have rules in place that doesn't allow him to play because he is unvaccinated. As i said before they should have left the mandate in place if this was going to be the end result

He knows the rules and is hurting his team by not getting the vaccine.

It ultimately falls on him if they underachieve because of his selfishness.

What is the difference with him being courtside at barclays unvaccinated and being on the court unvaccinated? He was in the locker room with the team at halftime and after the game as well

Exactly. What the mayor did would be like a local grocery having a rule that you can't enter the store if you are unvaccinated...then changing it to, you can come into the store...but you can't buy anything.

Many leagues' pot rules are equally stupid. Regardless, he has an extremely easy out to get on the court. No wait to get a jab these days...
