No doubt. We are different generations. Your generation basically worked for the same company for the majority if not totality of their career and that became the bench mark for sports expectations. But these younger generations will switch jobs 6-7-8 times before they’re 40. They don’t show the same deference to an employer. They’re a means to an end and when that employer no longer serves the needs of the employee, the employee with options says fuck it…moving on to accomplish my goals. And let’s not pretend Harden created this game. He’s one of many guys that have done this stuff.

Being a professional means something, it’s a shame that doesn’t mean what it should to all. I have nothing against people changing jobs, but your signature on a piece of paper means something.

Being a professional means something, it’s a shame that doesn’t mean what it should to all. I have nothing against people changing jobs, but your signature on a piece of paper means something.

As long as we are willing to pay lawyers tons of money, we can often find ways out of that signature. I don’t feel the same way you do, especially in sports. These owners won’t batt an eyelash in screwing these guys over if they can. We’re also talking the urgency of 10-12 year windows for careers and we’re used to the majority of us working 40-50-60 year careers in our fields. So when we ride out a 2-3 situation it doesn’t account for 20-30% of your entire career.

Jokic has played the entire season missing the teams 2nd best player and MPJ has only played about 10 games. It's hilarious you can't give any props to Jokic. Instead you call him fat & sloppy. Well that fat & sloppy NBAer is a helluva lot more reliable than Embiid. Yer boy has missed a ton of games during his career.

My first year teaching in ‘99 was at an all girls school in South Philly. They needed someone to coach freshmen girls basketball and they knew I was coaching football at the time so some dope drew the conclusion that because I could teach kids 3 tech vs 1 tech and how to do the rip and the swim that I could coach girls basketball. We were ass! But…my girls could screen like a mother fuck haha. We got at least one tech a game. We lost by 20-30 each time out but nobody wanted to play these tough girls from South Philly. I’m 0-7 in girls basketball coaching career haha.
