Question for ya...my dad thinks Charlotte should have an MLB team. Do you think they can support one? Enough attendance after the first couple years honeymoon?
I think it would work. This area is saturated with die hard sports fans and has been aching for a baseball team for a long time. The Knights have a really strong following and the stadium is always packed. I know that's apples and oranges but people around here do love their baseball and are just really loyal to hometown teams in general.

The Braves are the team of the South though. I’d imagine that might impact the possibility of them getting a team. Not sure how powerful Atlanta’s ownership group is lobbying other owners though.

This is true. I'm so tired of seeing Braves hats on Carolina folks lol.

I think Nashville is one of the other towns being considered for a team and the same would hold true with them.

It's a good question, but I think we could develop a solid fan base quickly.

Think about what occurred in order for Maxey to get to this point :

Fultz trade in 2019
No NCAA tournament in 2020 (if Maxey plays, he probably goes higher, right?)
Muscala hitting that shot for OKC in 2020
Drafted at #21
Simmons being Simmons in 2021-22 allowing Maxey to start and get those minutes in just his 2nd year

Being a Sixers fan has absolutely delivered in the drama department. I was just thinking the other day that we owe Ben Simmons a great big thank you. If he wasn’t a bitch and a pussy then I can still see Philly trying to jam a square peg in a round hole. Simmons is the one who finally said enough is enough and now all Sixers fans are better off for it.

I'm excited for the game tonight(hopefully after a Tarheels win), is Lowry back yet do we know?

Haven’t heard. Clicked on the game on the ESPN app and I don’t think injuries have been updated. Still listing Tucker and Lowry as out. Sixers saw zone last night early and it fucked with their flow. Heat actually work and practice zone more so than most NBA teams so I’m excited to see how Spo decides he’s going to play these guys. For me Bam is the focal point of their defense. If I’m Doc I try and go downhill at him with Embiid posts and Embiid Harden pick and roll to try and get him off the floor with foul trouble.

Yes, there has been a lot of chatter about this in the Sixers fanbase, with the Muscala shot in particular being one of those crazy things that wound up being hugely significant since it netted Philly a pick.

I was just looking at the Pels-Jazz box score. Ingram 29 points, CJ 24 points. The Pels 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th leading scorers all came off the bench. You don't see that every day.

CJ was a huge pickup.

If I am the Pels....I am going all out to trade for Dame in the off-season....Ingram, a player and a 1st or 2.

CJ and Dame....plus Zion if they can both go talk some sense in him. That is a nice trio.

If only the Sixers had kept Mikal Bridges instead of trading for Zhaire Smith. That is one move that would have really helped right now. Danny Green looks washed and Thybulle, while great defensively, is never going to be a good offensive player. Bridges is a true 2-way 3 and D. If they had Bridges at the 3 right now it would be so great.

Why would you pair CJ and Dame again? We’ve already seen it, that would not be smart. No guarantee Zion can stay healthy and if he doesn’t you had what Portland had for years. That would be an awful decision by Griffin
