If they don't take on any contracts that extend beyond the ones they have now, they'll have around $100 million coming off the books for 2023 and their 2027 pick can be kept and either used or sent to another team as part of a trade. Preferably one that doesn't get them John Wal. lol
if LeBron leaves after next year the only contracts they have on the books are THT at 11 million and Davis at 41.

the cap is projected to be at 124. They would have about 72 million in cap space.

the Lakers have no 2022 draft pick in the first or second round

in 2023 they have their pick since you cant trade picks in consecutive years- but they cant trade it. The Pelicans have the right to swap picks if the Lakers pick is better than the Pels. They have the less favorable of a Wizards or Grizz pick in the 2nd round.

in 2024 and 2025 the Pelicans have the option to take one of the Lakers first rounders. Basically- if the Lakers 2024 first rounder isnt any good- the Pelicans have the option to wait until 2025 and take the pick that year.

2026 they have their first rounc pick. They dealt their 2nd rounder ot the Cavs.

2027 they have their first round pick- first year they are allowed to trade a pick.

I was thinking earlier today.....trade James to the Cavs for Love and LeVert's expiring contracts in the offseason.

Cowherd has a way better trade in mind.....LOL.

Like I said, if it were up to me and I felt strongly that he shouldn't have the tickets, I would call him and basically tell him that as soon as he is retired...they're his.

But ultimately, it's not the decision I would have made, I doubt he used them much anyway. I can't even remember the last time he was shown to be at Staples Center.

My only point is that he's not as blameless as he tries to come across. Definitely agree that there was too much ego/envy and that likely led to a lot of this. Things tend not to go well when ego's get involved.
Yeah, clearly Jerry is in his feelimgs.

But, the Buss family is ass for reneging on their father's wishes.

Total disrespect... imo

If the Lakers do blow it up.....I think James and AD would have to be leaving and RW staying since he is expiring and his trade value right now sucks ass.

@fightinfunbags Your guys want Jordan.
I don’t. I mean let’s be real. The 5 position is a black hole for the Lakers so if DeAndre Jordan had anything in the tank he’d actually get minutes with you guys. I think the Sixers have better already in Bassey. But the fuck do I know. Doc has been playing broke ass Milsap in Embiid back up minutes. I will say this…Jordan is probably slightly better than Milsap. But that’s like saying, I would rather you punch me in the face than kick me in the dick.
