And that probably works for awhile.

But once they hit some adversity, look out!
That doesn’t make much sense to me. Sports is adversity and champions respond to adversity. Embiid and Harden are pretty good at sports. Having versatility and multiplicity gives a team better options to handle adversity.

The way I see it, the Sixers depth took a hit because of that trade.

Harden has not shown a knack for handling adversity yet. He's yours now so you gotta stan for him but we really have no idea how it's gonna look. That's the fun of it!

Agreed! Their bench is complete trash. In my mind, I start Harden Green Thybulle Harris and Embiid just so you have some bench in Maxey. I think there’s a bit of redundancy in Maxey game and Harden game so Maxey may be best suited running the show with the 2s and playing iso ball with drive and kick or drive and finish. Another possibility is the Sixers start Isaiah Joe instead of Green to give better shooting around Embiid Harden. But I agree…they took a hit on depth. Watch this Bassey kid though. Good early returns and Drummond moving out opens him up to be Embiid’s primary back up.

Also Paul Millsap is old broken down trash. Would have preferred Patty Mills.

Fair comment on Harden and adversity and maybe fair to say to Embiid as well. His no show in Game 4 of the Toronto series the Kawhi year was the reason the Sixers lost that series. The other side of that is that neither guy had an option like the other before. Embiid has never had a 3 level scorer that can close and get buckets. Harden has never had a dominant big. I think they have many options on offense which is great cause I’m worried about the defense. Sixers will likely have to out score teams.

Stephen A put together a decent analysis of the State of the Lakers yesterday on his basketball show appearance he does with Kendrick Perkins. I agree with the majority of what he had to say about the Lakers and he is spot on about what the organization has become. He stated emphatically that the Lakers are an embarrassment when the owner has allowed ex-players and some present players (Kurt Rambis, Magic Johnson, Lebron James) as well as her best friend, Linda Rambis to make major basketball decisions that has resulted in the Lakers becoming an unmitigated shit-show mess it now is.

There is one old adage in the business world being played-out in the Lakers organization: Never start or run a business with your friends. It is a recipe for a complete disaster. This present roster was decided upon by Kurt and Linda Rambis with the blessing of Jeannie Buss, LeBron James, and to some extent Magic Johnson.

They dug into their future and nearly gutted-it to rid themselves of draft and developing talent assets to get fleeced by a Westbrook contract that Stephen A calls beyond horrific and absolutely nothing but B-A-D. That post on here with the compilation of just how bad Westbrook is with the great music is laughable to the point of being a total embarrassment by a player that rivals just about any long-term bad franchise in the NBA's modern era with all of their mistakes.

Things are so bad, that the Lakers have returned to the state of affairs when Jeannie's brother, Short Buss ran the show. She got control of the Lakers but has since lost it all again to the people she has let run her organization who simply are ill-equipped to be in positions to run a successful NBA basketball franchise.

This all started, when Jeannie Buss refused the Icon's offer to be her GM twice and then shit all over him for no apparent reason. It has been downhill ever since and the result is this pile of shit she allows to trot onto the court night-in and night-out.

Stephen A has since mentioned that there remains an underlying reason why the Lakers were uncharacteristically quiet during the trading season just ending: That being, no GM in his right mind wants any part of the garbage that is coming-out of the Lakers organization because it is so bad to make any trade null and void before it begins, except for AD and James of course.

It is a sad state of affairs for a once-proud organization like the Lakers to be run into the ground by family members that really have now proven to all be devoid of any of their father's genius that made it so. I suggest, it is time the Lakers be sold to a person who can run it successfully with people who know what the hell they are doing because this mess appears to be unrepairable.

I hope Harden has the nuts to play tomorrow night in Philly against the Thunder. Supppsedly been out with hamstring, but we know that wasn’t true.

Miami 36-20 with 26 games left. Would like to see them go at least 19-7 to hit 55 wins on the year
