Sixers are gonna be very very interesting to watch.

I am sure Harden will actually try harder now.

Harden is such a good fit with Embiid. They gave up a lot - but for the next couple seasons the fit is just too good to pass up.

I disagree.

We shall see how things play out, but Harden has really only been content being the sole architect of the offense.

He didn’t fit in Brooklyn because he needed to deliver the ball to the other scorers instead of dribbling for 18 seconds.

I don’t see why things will be all that different in Philly.

Embiid not going to be Harden’s rim runner. He needs a lot more than that.

Pretty telling that LeBron didn’t want to pick him either.
Some of those guys have to know they are in the process of eating the golden goose.

Both guys need the ball in their hand a lot. This is really no different than Brooklyn except they use more pick and roll but who said Embiid wants to be that.

Exactly. Embiid is used to the offense running through him...Harden seems to be at his best when he IS the offense.

Gonna be interesting to see if they can resolve that.

Which brings up another question...Is Doc a coach that can make that work?

Harden didn't mix with Irving having to handle the ball.....he'll be the PG in Philly and I think he'll want to feed Embiid and get his. The pick and roll could be really amazing between those 2. He's never had a C like Embiid.

Embiid needs the ball too though.

All the centers Harden has played with set screens and caught his lobs.

Embiid can do that, but he is also an elite post scorer and a pretty good facilitator.

He needs the ball early in the shot clock to play those roles. Harden typically doesn’t like to give the ball up early in the clock.

lol

Did you all just see that report that Houston reached out to the Lakers and wanted to trade Wall for Westbrook and first round pick?

I would have driven to LA and personally kicked Pelinka's ass if he said yes to that.

It will for sure.

But will Embiid be content with that role?
If it's working and they're winning he will be. He seems like a guy who actually cares about winning.

And after Houston and BK I think Harden knows his best shot at winning is with Embiid.

Just surprised it went up in smoke as fast as it did.

I think both teams are better off and the Nets are going to be a scary 1st round opponent for whomever they play.

Flip side of that is Harden is the best teammate Embiid has ever had by far. Should be interesting.

Nets/Sixers Mar 10th in Philly. Can't come fast enough :)
I wouldnt put Harden as the best teammate by any means
