I mean the Warriors play some damn good defense (been like that for awhile now). I keep forgetting is Cavs team is still extremely young. Your expectations as a fan get higher if you see your team play at a certain level but without Rubio and Sexton I probably just need to lower my expectations. This year was supposed to be a rebuilding year and they have exceeded that by far already. Without one of the two they just don't have enough guys that can create their own shot and a shot for others. Watching the Warriors last night they have a handful of guys that can create their own shot. Still like Wiggy said, probably looking at 1-3 more years, who knows exactly. I mean for example for the Warriors it was Steph's 4th year in the league where they made the playoffs and then won a series. Year 6 when they won it all. Obviously doesn't mean every timeline is the same but I think the next two years are stepping stones to be contenders, all depends on what moves they make and a lot of things though.

One playoff series to get these kids experience would be nice though.
yah- biggest difference in the core being 20-22 years old and the core being say, 23-25 years old. Even then- most guys wont be in the top of their game- but at least they will have experience and have played together for a while.

right now its just a ton of learning, about themselves, and their teammates. That - and learning that the schedule is long and you are playing grown men. That is a huge adjustment. Mobley is going from being the biggest guy out there playing 25 games- to playing 70+ games against grown men. Thats a huge adjustment.

They will get there eventually. Its just gonna take time. If Rubio and Sexton were there id feel a lot better about playoffs- but without them, its gonna be tough- especially since these other teams have good players too. Charlotte and Toronto for instnace are much more win-now, and have less injury issues.

Speaking of grown men, the Lakers got beat so badly last night, I was trying to figure out how grown men can let a bunch of youngsters destroy them. LOL!

I totally agree ShaqDaddy. I stopped watching that total embarrassment when the lead went above 15.

Yea I get that thought process totally. I came to the same conclusion as it was overwhelmingly obvious that only James came to play a game. The rest just didn't want to play on Sunday evening.
