This is why the cavs cut ties with him

The Christian Wood news is pretty disheartening too.

I am sure the Rockets culture is awful, but you can’t pout when you don’t get your way.

Wood can be a really valuable player in this league, but if he ever wants to be more than a good player on a bad team, he needs to grow up.

If he refused to go in the game they have to suspend him

No, they don’t.

It would be within their right to suspend him.

But there is very little we actually know about the story. And how things play out between Wood and the team over the next couple days will matter a lot.

No need to make a huge thing out of it if Wood comes in today, apologizes and acts like a professional.

And even if he doesn’t, there are probably better ways to solve this than suspension if the team wants to salvage the relationship with arguably their best player.

Have to admit I thought it was a little premature, but would have been a matter of time had they waited.

wonder if the national media who ripped the Cavs for this will offer a mea culpa.

Didn't he throw a bowl of soup at someone?
Not sure we know everything that happened, but that was part of it. also threw F bombs at top brass allegedly. all because his locker (which was not used since he was not really part of the team) was given to someone who was part of the team.

Really do hope the kid can get his head on straight at some point.

super talented kid- and gosh- he would be a great wing for the CAvs to have- but hes a total headcase. Sometimes you gotta just move on. This might be his last stop.
Cannot imagine this is someone they want around Green so certainly would not be surprised if they move on.

Yep. I'm sure it was a difficult decision because the kid is very talented and if he had his head on straight, could be huge for the Cavs. But with such a young core group, you really couldn't risk him fucking up the chemistry and culture they look to be building.

Exactly. As far as talent this was exactly the type of player the Cavaliers needed. Either a big guard or a SF.

Miami need to find a way to win this one with these replacement players. Not going to win tomorrow with these replacement players. Likely not winning in Portland either unless we get a few guys back. By Saturday in Phoenix, they should have the covid guys back.

Not enough defense on the floor with these guys out. No PJ leaves Herro on Fox who takes advantage and gets to the line for 2 to give Sacramento the late lead with 6 seconds left

Yep this trip is about to get shitty. Hopefully Dedmon can be back by Wednesday because this replacement big they added ain't it.

Need Strus and/or duncan along with Vincent back by Wednesday if they want to make something out of this trip. Can beat Portland for sure if they have 2 of those 3 back at least.

Mobley with 24,9 & 4 against the DPOY candidate and future Pacers retired jersey candidate, Myles Turner.

They need Garland back asap
