There is an old adage in sports that goes: "You usually play like you practice. Cheat in practice, it'll show-up in the games." There are some serious problems emerging with the Lakers: 1) With all of the changes to the roster with supposed experienced, championship-type players, no one appears to want to play team defense. Crappy defense leads to other teams scoring big; 2) Dwight Howard still can't seem to shut his mouth when another player calls him out for doing stupid shit. Everyone is learning Vogel's system in order to play together; 3) Many players are not that good offensively and scoring is down. Stop this standing around and watching AD and Lebron shoot the basketball.
Also, Russell Westbrook, Rajon Rondo, and Avery Bradley have yet to do much of anything. Were not these three brought on board to take the pressure off of LeBron, play defense, and score when the opportunity is available?
Granted only two games are in the books but the Lakers have some major work to do to right this leaking ship and reap the results that were envisioned on paper when Pelinka started down this road awhile back.
