He's not a max player.

But, the Suns fucked themselves by drafting him in the first place.

We all new Luka was the pick. But, they butt fumbled anyway.

But, Vuvecic is getting 24 mil and Horford is at 27.

Suns. Sarver is a cheap bastard, but Ayton isn't a max level player. This is assuming that what the Suns say is true and that they really did offer him shorter max level deals.

If they didn't, Ayton still isn't a max level player, but if they are saying they offered shorter max deals and didn't, that would be some bullshit.

I tend to lean towards what the Suns say as being true because they have more to lose if it turns out they lied.

They said they would have offered a shorter term max but knew it would be rejected. So, they never put pen to paper.

Cannot say surprised by result of loss and the D struggling. Expected in first game when roster filled with young guys, some playing first game together.

No doubt the D will need to improve (as will Memphis as they allowed this young team a ton of points). Offense was impressive. I say this knowing only one game, but from what I saw in the one game Rubio looks like a great fir with either Garland or Sexton. Sexton did not hold the ball too much at all as he's accused. If anything, he needed to shoot more.

Morant was best player on court. Allen and Mobley were easily the next best and were both extremely impressive. If Allen can just play 70% of what he did his deal is worth it. So early, but Mobley looked like the real deal with ability to pass and defend alone.

Need to win the next one as no excuse not to (Charlotte at home)

Yeah, with that it sounds like both sides are engaging in some semantics. Ayton still isn't a max level player, he needs to understand that before he hits RFA or he's either going to find that no one is giving him what he wants, or he's going to end up getting that deal, but from a team that isn't going to be doing much winning.
