Maybe, but I would say let's give it a couple more years to be sure. I do think Zion was overhyped.

Edwards will be a superstar. Wolves finally fully hit on 1 of their 100 top 5 players to show up.

Team will probably still blow forever though.

The Ayton/Suns situation is getting interesting.

Suns GM James Jones said: "You talk about conversations...it was 5 year, max extension like the other peers, the former #1 picks, and that's where the conversation started and ended. Anything less than a five year max wasn't something to be considered...not something to talk about. It's evident. They talk about us having discussions on 3 year, 4 year max (deals). Those are real."

From Ayton's camp: "Ayton's agents strongly disagree and were adamant in multiple conversations with The Athletic on Tuesday that a max deal of any kind was never offered even informally. From beginning to end, they said the organizations unmistakable message from Sarver on down was that Ayton wasn't viewed as worthy of a max deal".

In response, Jones said..."They know that a 3 or 4 year max was not an (acceptable) option for them".

We're heading into year 3 where Zion's weight has always been an issue and now he's north of 300 lbs.

Morant looks like the real deal.

I think we have enough data to say that Perk was right on this one (he's not right often, give him this one).

Suns. Sarver is a cheap bastard, but Ayton isn't a max level player. This is assuming that what the Suns say is true and that they really did offer him shorter max level deals.

If they didn't, Ayton still isn't a max level player, but if they are saying they offered shorter max deals and didn't, that would be some bullshit.

I tend to lean towards what the Suns say as being true because they have more to lose if it turns out they lied.

Fair point. He may well be right.
