Gotta love that. One decommit, who turned into a recommit. I was pretty scared when Petersen stepped down that the class would fall apart. It didn’t waver, I fucking love it!

Dubs up!!
24/7 is calling that Washington has the best class of the PAC.
ASU is the sleeper.
Best recruiting win: Stanford landing Hector considering all his choices.
Top incoming: Flowe to the Ducks.
Top sleeper recruit: WR Joey Hobert to Cougs.

And they mention there are still some high value west coasters that haven't committed yet and will do in Jan. USC will be extremely busy trying to fill up its class more.

They also say it a huge injection of QB talent into the PAC this year was to be noted.

The Most Important Underclassman Decisions of the 2020 NFL Draft

QB Jacob Eason, Washington

  1. You know the big names at quarterback—Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert and Tua Tagovailoa—but every year there seems to be a surprise entry or late riser who makes noise in the first round. This year that could be Washington's big-armed junior Jacob Eason.

You might remember Eason as the quarterback at Georgia before Jake Fromm. He won the starting job there before injuring his knee and missing most of the 2017 season. He then transferred to Washington and sat out the 2018 season under NCAA rules. This year, he showed off the traits that had him ranked as a 5-star recruit coming out of high school.

There are warts with Eason—limited starting time is a big one, and critics will point to his struggles against better competition—but NFL coaches and scouts love big arms, tall quarterbacks and cocky passers. Eason is all three, and if he declares for the draft, he could become a first-round pick.

It's easy to imagine Bruce Arians thinking about Eason as a replacement for Jameis Winston, or Tom Telesco thinking Eason can be the heir apparent to Philip Rivers. With supply and demand way out of whack at quarterback, players with Eason's gifts rarely fall in the draft.

Washington's class is ranked #14 on 247.

Early National Signing Day 2019: Ranking Top 25 Recruiting Classes

  1. 15. Washington Huskies

    Class Size: 22 (one 5-star, nine 4-stars, 11 3-stars)

Biggest Early Signing Period News: There was no news, and that was great news for the Pac-12's top class. Jacobe Covington recommitted to the Huskies after originally looking around, but for a program to lose a great coach like Chris Petersen and not see a pledge look elsewhere is remarkable and a testament to promoted head coach Jimmy Lake.

Strengths/Weaknesses: A year after the Huskies loaded up on the defensive side of the ball, they grabbed several excellent offensive prospects this year, bolstered by a stellar offensive line class led by Myles Murao and Roger Rosengarten. Geirean Hatchett is a 4-star guard with a bright future too. Defensively, 5-star Sav'ell Smalls has immediate starter potential.

Last year, Washington loaded up on the defensive line, but there's not a true defensive lineman other than Jordan Lolohea, who is wrapping up a two-year mission. That's a little light at a vital area.
