Yep. One of the names suspected was going to verbal by spring practice dates.
Huskies got their QB for the 2020 class locked up.

I expect his ranking to shoot up a lot over the course of the year and wouldn't be surprised if he is a 4* guy when it's all said and done. I was watching his highlights and he looks like a 4* caliber QB to me.

If you watched his highlights you'd think he was definitely a top 300 guy.

Sheesh Good luck trying to beat the Lancers this season with that lineup. Kennedy is going to murder teams.

He'll move up. One of the things that really stands out is his freakish accuracy for someone e didnt even start playing the QB position since recently. He"ll spend the next two years adding 20 pounds to his frame, but he's exactly the type of QB Petersen covets when it comes to accuracy.

Yeah if you look at his Hudl highlights, you'd think he would be one of the more sought after prospects. Normally guys that are "accuracy guys" don't have the arm strength to make all the throws (Browning), but when I was watching his highlights it looks like he has all the tools to be a very successful QB.

His footwork and mechanics also looked really impressive for a junior. Perhaps he doesn't play in the most competitive district? I don't know.

He doesn't have the acclaim of guys like Yankoff, Eason, Sirmon, etc. but his tape looks just as good to me. Could be one of those size things.

I mean his dad and his uncle I'm sure have a lot to do with that.

Sure, the Millen kids also have a famous UW QB dad that thinks he can teach the position, but two in the family that can teach it?

The rest is just his natural ability/gifts.

As for arm strength, I actually think he has a lot of room to develop there, but we will see what he looks like after his senior season.

Right now he does have solid footwork, great instincts on where to throw it in single coverage, throws to the boundary well and can throw a guy open, has the back shoulder throw and a pretty decent fade, but I'd like to see more zip on the shorter routes over the middle.

I always struggle watching film on a lefty though. It's so damned weird.

I didn't know that his father and uncle had football backgrounds, but I assume that's what you're implying by that. I know his brother plays at Cal, but otherwise the last name doesn't ring a bell. Could've been a bit before my time.

Based on his highlights, I actually felt he had better arm strength than Browning, or roughly on par. Although that could be because with Browning he tends to have a long wind-up and tends to lob the ball when he throws deep.

Somewhat interesting that UW's two most recent QB signees are lefties. I'm the same with you watching lefties throw. The first player that came to mind when watching Garbers was actually Sam Huard, probably due to the fact that he's also a leftie.

Kind of a random tangent; but I wonder how having a leftie at QB impacts who you play at RT and LT. Generally you put your best pass-protecting tackle on the left side to protect the QB's blind side. I know Tua at Bama is a leftie, but I don't really follow Alabama well enough to know if they made some sort of adjustment on the offensive line.

My ramblings aside, I'm really excited about the stable of QBs UW has coming up. Eason, Yankoff, Sirmon, Garbers and Huard are all really promising players.

I heard Eastside was the tended transfer before Kennedy, But Eastside's coach resigned last month pushing to pick Kennedy.
Kennedy's HC is an ex WSU QB. Eastside's new HC is an ex Husky OL.

Me also. He's taking another visit to Texas next month ... that will be his 2nd trip there.

Can't blame him tbh. I'd assume it's 50/50 between us and Texas, but Texas has a lot to offer. Austin is an incredible city, UT has a great football tradition, they're a strong school academically and they get a lot of attention.

Hopefully we're able to win him over, but I can't blame him for giving Texas a strong look.

Washington should be able to land this guy imo. He's from Tacoma, Washington is becoming DBU with the amount of guys Lake has put into the NFL, better academics, etc ...

I hope that Washington is still the favorite, but you never know. I'm kind of biased because I've considered moving to Austin and I have a handful of close friends who are UT fans and I believe Texas to be comparable to UW academically. Some guys are looking for different things. Not to mention the fact that boo$ters might be whispering in his ear.

With the exception of A&M, Texas has a warchest like no other and Herman is a hot item especially after beating UGA. Still I'm depending on Ringo's ties to Washington along with Lake's record for putting DB's in the NFL.

I think the bigger thing that'll help us is Lake's ability to coach and Ringo being able to get playing time faster at UW than UT. Rapp, King and Jones were all not highly regarded as prospects and turned into excellent players with King and Jones becoming second round picks and Rapp looking to go somewhere between the 1st and 3rd rounds.

Hope you're right, but if he picks UW I wouldn't be surprised. If he picks UT I also wouldn't be surprised.
