Its scary how quickly this is turning. My take is this: they have lost their mojo. Yea, yea, they are 20 games over 500. But one they stop believing, this is gonna end quickly. And never forget, these are the Twins we are talking about. There is no culture of winning here. They are going to have to build it. Can they? Not the way they are playing these last 2 weeks.

It really comes down to the pitching. That inning was bad offensively and some of our lack of good ABs is annoying but the power shows up usually most nights.

The issue is when we all know our bullpen sucks ass with a revolving door of minor leaguers being called up, it really magnifies such blown opportunities offensively like in the 2nd inning. We need those runs.

On the bright side, Pineda looks the best he has all year. Can he do it for 3-4 more innings? Not sure

Yes. The bull pens failure mark the offensive failures in bold print. Makes them stand out even more so. But two things we have debated here: the bullpen issues, and the small ball issues. It seems we are legit in our concerns about them.

They do but their starters they are throwing this week are all mix and match soft tossing types. We struggle vs those. Our guys like fastballs.

Unless it’s shitty guys like that Carpenter dude for Tigers. Of course we will rock him.

That’s why we’ve hit Mariners pen pretty well. They bring in harder throwers.
