I always thought Liriano was of the same cut, innings wise. Had Gardenhire/Anderson not had their heads up each others asses, they should have been ready to pull him after 5. Any trouble at all, he gets yanked. If you got 6 out of him, that was a bonus. He just couldn't get thru the 3rd time around.

Yeah a lot of pitchers start to struggle third time through. Pineda for example should be a reliever cause of his splits.

Odorizzi it’s tough to bitch about because he’s been so elite at not allowing runs/hits/homers. But it is annoying he can never have a good pitch count.

That’s our whole staffs problem. Very few short starts(under 5) but rarely we ever go 7.

Which is bad with our bullpen.

In a perfect world I’d love Holland or Giles and then Will Smith.

But I’d be ok with Holland/Giles and Diekman if need be.

But we should be going HARD for those arms.
