Perez doesn’t have the control to hold up vs good teams consistently

We have been pounding the weak teams (like we should) and my fear is that we "look" better than what we really are. We are going to find out soon enough, I guess....one way or the other.

Agreed. Failure to score except with the long ball will be the death of this team. And anyone who thinks we don't need an ace to lead, and a guy to close games out.....well, they are just wrong.

Doesn’t throw enough strikes to be successful in my opinion. That’s why I’ve been expecting regression.

Berrios, Odorizzi and Gibson all have tendencies to let ABs drag at times, but they ultimate avoid the walks/control issues much better. Especially Berrios and Gibson.

Say what? He came in and did his job. I don't think he is elite, and I think its a crap shoot when he is facing off against good teams. But the I will give him kudos when he earns them. And he certainly did last night. No big deal.

Seems like we still have no approach at the plate.

Either quick outs because we swing at everything. Or the 5-6 pitch outs are because we strike out.

This can’t continue against good teams. We aren’t getting beach balls from the Os and Angels anymore.

Well, we got 2 runs because why?? We started taking pitches and made Chirinos throw strikes.

Only got 2 tho because Polanco played it safe on a fly ball and Rosario/Sano each missed 3 fucking hangers.

Sano swung and missed on all 3. Not much point in playing the guy if he’s gonna swing through 3 straight hangers.
