2016 and 2017 Hand's two full seasons as a Padre reliever.

His road numbers numbers were vastly superior

Im all for adding a starter. Our top 4 will absolutely not hold up in a playoff scenario.

Our top 1,2,3,4 or 5 isn't going to hold up. We definitely could use more starters.

But now days teams go to the pen so quick in the playoffs. If we added a couple more elite bullpen arms to compliment Rogers, Parker and Harper that is still more realistic.

I don't see us growing balls to go get a Madbum or better.

Yeah, i was doing some research on that my petco argument holds no water. Really shocking to me but it is what it is. Still not sold on him being good in the AL but i was wrong on the padres angle. Completely.

Depends on what it costs, and how it disrupts what they've built so far.

What don't you get? This isn't necessarily the Twins of yesterday year. We got our ass handed to us by Houston, and we turned around and won the season series. We didn't turtle. And how many on the roster wereca part of the Yankees kicking our ass in previous seasons? We actually won a game... in New York. One of the games was lost legitimately on 2 errors.

I just don't see a need yet.

I don't get how you can think a team with 1 lefty reliever and arguably their best reliever being a 30 year old rookie that they don't need to add on.

Again, every championship contender adds on.

Wait we won 1 game vs the replacement Yankees thats your reasoning? Yes we won the season series vs Houston they also outscored us by 8 runs overall.

How many Twins were on the 2009 and 2010 roster in 2017? We still folded immediately.

Why? Because we started Ervin fucking Santana in Yankee Stadium.

He's real good. He would help big.

Regardless we need two more relievers at least.

And that's while im assuming Harper doesn't flatline.

Rogers is great, Parker should be solid. Harper, Magill and Morin are all unproven. May is mehhhhh.

That is not a playoff pen...no matter how much some think it could be.

Its time to do this against the good teams. Right now, we are 50/50. Need to do better. Establish who is in charge here. Baltimore, Seattle, Detroit...they wont be who we face if we make the play offs.
