Pass-protection body frame at the tackle spot. Long, finesse-type player with light feet and typically good punch power and timing. Could stand to add some weight at the next level. His good reps are absolutely textbook. Still gets pushed back into the quarterback at times and is too quick to gives up the inside at times.

meh looks like a project pick

Like i never understood when they say could stand to add some weight as if 315 lbs isn't enough for a T

McVay is going to revolutionize the Rams have done business in the past and he'll probably bring in all those UDFA's as well during the try-out period. Sort of like a walk-on session for the pro level. I love it man!!

Can't believe Snead got more than a bag of Cheetos for Austin. Kudos to him.

They put a bigger emphasis on the OL than I thought they would which is great.

I thought their 1st pick would be DE, LB or OT but I didn't think they would go OL back to back. Loved that they got Kiser and Obo ( especially where they got them ).

Was surprised they didn't move up for a few guys that were close to their first 2 picks, but I guess those guys weren't targets after all.

We obviously don't know how this draft will play out, but on paper it looks very good for potential starters at LB and depth for the OL which were the 2 biggest needs, and I'm glad the FO didn't overreact to their biggest needs and let the board come to them.

Man did they ever ALR. All that trading in the 5-7th rounds and as one pundit put it, these guys have a plan and they are workin' it to perfection!!

If they come out with 2 starters out of these late round picks like last year and several subs, this draft will be another HUGE success like last year was.

Many mocks had us taking this guy and we worked it to perfection. We goy a lot of steals yesterday without giving the farm away. Liser was another one.

Here is how we were graded by Yahoo Sports.

Los Angeles Rams

Picks: OT Joseph Noteboom (3); C Brian Allen (4); DE John Franklin-Myers (4); LB Micah Kiser (5); DE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo (5); RB John Kelly (6); G Jamil Demby (6); DT Sebastian Joseph (6); LB Trevon Young (6); LB Travin Howard (7); DE Justin Lawler (7).

Analysis: The Rams’ draft class is basically Brandin Cooks, Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib. Los Angeles didn’t have a pick in the first two rounds due to trades. And the Rams did fine finding lower-cost offensive line and edge rush help with what they had. One interesting pick is Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, who was an outstanding edge rusher for Oklahoma and fell to the fifth round. The same can be said for Micah Kiser, an inside linebacker who was a tackle machine at Virginia and came in the fifth round. John Kelly is the type of late-round running back who could return a lot of value, and the Rams need someone behind Todd Gurley. While trading picks for veterans in a salary-cap league does have its downside, the Rams aren’t complaining.

Grade: A-minus
