Vs NMSU-Win. If we lose, I'll over react and demand Fleck is fired. I've seen us to lose to them before.
    Vs Fresno-L
    Vs Miami Ohio-Win
@ Maryland-Win. I think Durkin situation will impact on the field
Vs Iowa-Win. We're getting the GD PIG
@tOHSU-L-Even with Urban Meyer scandal, they should beat us handily
@ Nebraska-W. This one is a toss up and is complete homer pick by me, plus I'll be in lincoln and I'm due for a road victory. My head says L though
    Vs Indiana-L
    @ Illinois-W. They're turrible.
    Vs Purdue-L
Vs NW-W-They seem to be an every other year team
@ Wi-Unless sconi gets a lot of injuries, we're not winning and the abysmal streak continues

That puts them @ 7-5 and bowling

The only games I have 0% confidence in winning are @ tOHSU and @Wi

The only games I have 90+% confidence in winning are NMSU, Miami OH, and Illinois

    4-8

    :sigh:

Things won't begin to turn around on the field until next year....

I do believe 4-8 is possible, but I think offense will be greatly improved. O line and Wr's are looking better, and I don't think QB situation can get worse, even using freshman

And even then they will be an also ran, I think they should just fold the football team and spend more money on the other teams where we have a chance, hockey, baseball, gymnastics, wrestling ect...

The dysfunction of maryland has helped us. They won 5 games last year and basically refused to play any true freshman that could've played and helped.

I'm also aware the last 2 games were simply brutal to watch and made anyone wonder how this team can ever compete

Football is highly profitable. If they dropped out they wouldn't have more money to spend, they'd have less

Who cares, my point was put the football program out of it's misery already, it's embarrassing...

    Well, don't follow

Wisconsin football historically was far worse than MN ever was until 90's. It is possible to turn things around. Gophers have rich history, it just stopped in 1962

I have always and will continue to follow all Minnesota teams but thanks for your recommendation.

It is possible to turn things around but only if the powers that be actually care.

A rich history, lolzzz ancient history, like leather helmets.

Yes, but still history. I don't think we'll get back to that, but I think we can get to same level as Iowa for example

Recent years MN has upgraded stadium, practice facilities, AD budget, and coaching budget. Not sure what else the powers that actually care need to do

Biggest mistake was letting Mason go. He could coach and was making inroads in recruiting. If they really wanted a fundraiser for the program (stadium, other things), they should have hired someone specifically for that, and made it it's own job altogether.

Hope and pray that at the slightest success, Fleck doesn't look elsewhere for a job.

    If he does, he does.

MN fans need to stop being so paranoid about our coaches leaving, it happened once, Lou Holtz

I'm not sure it was a mistake, but following up with Brewster was a mistake. With that said, Mason did a good job. Just struggled outside of a few years to have a decent defense

Admittedly I've never been on the Fleck boat, but I'm thinking 3-9 is about as good as we can expect this season and that's if we split the Fresno St. and Illinois games (with that game being at Illinois I'm not even confident in that game).

NMSU looked like dog shit Saturday vs Wyoming.

Interesting, Wyoming coach is Craig Bohl. He interviewed when we hired brew. I dont know the level of success he would've attained here, but he would've done a hell of lot better than Brew
