So if Guy Thomas really is out, we are looking at a serious issue here.

Sign up for maryland, ga head. Wheel fill in with walkons and open tryouts just like we've done for the last decade. None of these guys were starting next year so JP just needs to fill his open slots, no biggie

Of all of the commits this year, RP4 is the one I thought would go somewhere else. Nothing really to base this belief on, just kinda felt that way from the day he committed.

He all... sucks that Porcher is gone, Thomas is still a real soft commit but it seems like his Maryland visit didn't go the best so he's still committed for the time being. Will be visiting N in January. We might actually hold onto him, but he's a project. Likely to see JP go gang busters out of the dead period trying to flip a DE or two. It's a position we really need help at.

As for Thomas Graham... sounds like it is between us and Oregon. For the life of me I don't understand the draw of Oregon right now. Taggert STILL doesn't have a staff in place and whiffed on the only DC he has pursued. If he chooses Oregon he strung Nebraska along. We shall see on Friday at 1:00pm CST.

In a bit of good news it sounds like Reese the TE, is still solid to us after his Texas visit.

I'm really surprised it's taken John parrella this long to bring in defensive line recruits and also that he's having decommit he seems like a perfect players coach to me

what's annoying about Porcher, is he claims it's family and wanting to play in front of them, but then you see stuff like this:

did he take a geography class or look at a map of the US? he does realize that these places aren't in FL right?

I agree, I was going to comment on the "family 100" it's like it's new that he wants to be able to play Infront of his family... the biggest issue I have with it is when you have a committed player you probably back off on calling them and recruiting them so hard. but you may as a coach quit going after other certain players that you really like that are not committed. There needs to be a penalty some sort when you commit to a school and then decommit.

Yeah, I don't know what his deal is, sounds like it's easier for his family to get to those places to watch games? I don't know. Parrella certainly has his work cut out for him for the remainder of the class.

We need Beal. I think porcher is a bigger lose then most are giving credit to. What is the reason for the delay of defensive lineman recruits is it just cuz perrella's relatively new

Mostly that, and that Hughes was so bad at recruiting that he hadn't started any conversations with 2017 kids prior to parella being here in the first place so we were literally starting from scratch with the 2017 class. JP also has never recruited at this level before so there's a learning curve. No question it has to get better though.

Hoping he gets a similar wake up call as Keith Williams got last year with Dez Fitzpatrick. Dubs won't get caught without a backup plan and has plenty of targets keeping warm in case his top guys fall through.

Thomas Graham will be announcing his commitment at 1pm CST today... Just an FYI, think he is going to Oregon. Not sure why, has friends there and is a bit closer to home is what i'm guessing. Sucks to miss on this kid but it seems like distance was a bigger factor and having friends was a bigger factor than anticipated. This likely means we take Quran Hafiz's commitment on Monday... still looking for another CB in this class, probably going to go gang busters on Lenoir, Blades and Curl.

Remember we have decent depth at CB this season so that has actually driven away some players for some reason. I anticipate much better luck with high caliber guys in the 2018 class at the corner position.

Oregon's secondary is a disaster so I can see why he'd wanna go be the big fish in the smaller pond.
