I would love to get a new center..... But I'm not sure the Bengals think they need one.

Vernon Butler reminds me of Muhammad Wilkerson. I think he's flying under the radar right now but you're going to hear his name more often the closer we get to the draft. Nick Martin I think is the best Center in the Draft and is versatile enough to play Guard in case we lose Zeitler in Free Agency. While William Jackson III, Kentrell Brothers, Mike Thomas are all players who will eventually out play their current draft rankings. Mike Thomas reminds me of a young A.J.

Vernon Butler
.

William Jackson III

Kentrell Brothers

Mike Thomas

Too many non P5 schools, not only for me, but for Mikey Brown. Not his MO. I'd be surprised if we take more than one guy from a non-P5 school.

A lot could change certainly before the draft, but I don't think most of these guys fall that far. WJIII is being talked about as a 1st/2nd rounder, Brothers as a 2nd/3rd rounder and Thomas as a 3rd/4th rounder. That could change, but I don't see them falling that far.

It's a deep draft. Somebody has to fall.

Does that sound right? I was just throwing shit against the wall there.

BTW -- Mayock loves Carson Wentz. I'm hoping the Browns get him because we know he'll suck.

That did sound really good actually. You'll become a big time draft expert yet.

I really like Carson Wentz too and I wouldn't count on whoever the Browns draft sucking. Hue knows how to help a QB. Just look what he did for Dalton this year. I think they take Goff or Wentz likely.

I'd be happy with something like this.

1. Darron Lee, LB, Ohio State
2. Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio State (tho I'm not sure he falls this far)
3. Nick Martin, C, Notre Dame
4. Cyrus Jones, CB, Alabama
5. Hassan Ridgeway, DT, Texas
6. Vernon Adams, QB, Oregon
7. D'haquille Williams, WR, Auburn

Homer. :)

I don't think Miller falls that far.... Something tells me he's going to wow the scouts with his athleticism and he's going to shoot up the board.

I'm done with Alabama corners. Why don't we just draft a Wisconsin running back if we want to waste a pick.

I've already seem Miller projected to the Bengals in the first and I think after the combine it's much more likely he goes in the first too, but who knows. His athleticism and ability with the ball in his hands is amazing.

Jones is more about him being a good return man and depth at CB. Hopefully he could make the roster and then play Gunner and KR/PR. I'm not sure he is ever anything more than a 4th CB, but if he can get rid of Tate as our return man it would be awesome.

I like it a lot. Make it happen sir! Not sure Bodine is bad enough we have to have another center right now, but if you can get the best center in the draft in the 3rd who has the ability to shift to guard in a pinch for depth, I would certainly be good with that. I really hope we resign Zeitler as one that we resign, but guards can get expensive now a days, and Mike Brown doesn't like spending that much money on interior lineman.

Also, not sure what we would do with another QB as he might stick on the practice squad I guess, but I am not worried about it as a filler and grooming project in the 6th. It would be nice to have another safety competing for a slot in that 6th round as well be losing Nelson, and Williams will be promoted to starter with Iloka.

Lee and Miller are no brainers if they fall to us in those slots. We could certainly use both, but if it came down to us drafting Lee or Miller with that #24 pick, I would go with Lee as I think he will make our defense that much more special. Harder to find a probowl caliber LB than it is a WR later in the draft.

I like Mekale McKay as a college free agent as well out of Cincinnati. Get him in here to compete for a spot at least on practice squad. I love his size and speed and his willingness to block in open space to help the RB's get to that next level. Dude is 6'5" / 210 lbs / ~4.45 - 40

I also like Tyreek Hill from West Alabama as a return specialist. Potential college free agent as well, earliest a 6th around pick, but I honestly see him as a college free agent.

I also think we need to resign Iloka, Adam Jones, Zeitler, Sanu.

It will hurt losing Nelson and Marvin Jones, but I think we can deal if we have the rest of the team in tact.

Miller...I like him a lot, but IMO 24 might be a reach...if 3 QBs, 3 OTs, 3 to 4 CBs probably 7 or 8 LBs, 1 RB, 1 TE, 1WR, and just a slew of good DL bigs in this draft, I think he gets pushed to the top of the 2nd...I'm projecting him to CLE with as the 32nd player off the board in slot 33 since NE does not get a pick in the 1st.

Honestly if I'm a team, I take a QB every year. Adams has legit talent and finding a late round gem at QB would never be a bad thing. McCarron is gone at the very least when his contract is up and honestly I'd consider trading him if we could get anything for him.

It's certainly possible he falls to the top of the 2nd, just saying I've already seen him go in mocks at 24. Dane Brugler for CBS has us taking him at 24 in his newest mock.

The kid looks like a player...certainly a great athlete to shift positions and play at such a high level. I'm like most of you guys...I'd probably go with Lee @ 24.
