Went to a car show on the main drag here in Manch with my daughter a few years back and saw a newer GT 40 parked right next to an older model. We got to the show late and having only wandered a hundred feet or so down Elm St we heard them both fire up and turned to watch them exit the gate and head west across the bridge over the Merrimack River. We couldn't see them as they crossed the bridge, but it is 2 lanes in each direction and it was obvious these two guys laid on it pretty hard because everyone could hear it.

Totally badass.

The first consumer version flopped because they put an engine that only got about 12 miles to the gallon in it and it sold only 4000 units. It looked incredible, but wasn't very driver friendly.

While a V-8 would of been perfect, this one will still scream. Love the look of it. I bet this one sells much better while still being a true american supercar.

Saw a Ford GT (original) driving up I-5 in Seattle one day. I just followed along side for a few miles. It's a piece of history.
