Only 2 more rounds left. ESPN has a character limit, so as I was updating the QB, RB & WR for tlance, it started erasing the D/ST.

What was I thinking?

#7 - RB1 Matt Forte - averaged 4th best YPG the last 4 years. And Fox historically features the run.
#18 - WR1 Jordy Nelson
#31 - WR2 Emmanuel Sanders - wanted to lock up 2 quality WR early. Didn't last year & it hurt.
#42 - QB1 Peyton Manning - Highest TD avg of any QB. & TD's = points.
#55 - TE1 Greg Olsen - didn't want to worry if my TE might be consistent.
#66 - RB2 Tevin Coleman - all other RB were picked over. Don't trust rookies. He better pan out.
#79 - RB3 David Cobb - ditto for Cobb. Plus Sankey was putrid last year.
#90 - Houston Texans - wanted a decent D with an easy schedule. Check.
#103 - WR3 Anquan Boldin - just love this guy. Defies odds, & he has chemistry with Kaps.
#114 - RB4 Devonta Freeman - handcuff in case Coleman is a bust.
#127 - WR4 Kendall Wright - can Mariota get it near his zip code?
#138 - WR5 Steve Smith Sr.- history says 1st year-Trestman offense usually pays off.
#151 - TBD
#162 - Foles? Do I really want to backup Manning for 1 week? Seems like a wasted pick. Still thinking my next 2 moves. One of 'em has to be a kicker.

he is 39, multiple neck surgeries, new members across the line, big tweaks to the offensive system. ..I think it'd be a smart move

1) Didn't think it would snake around so fast back to me.
2) I've been targeting Steve Smith for the better part of 3 rounds now. Almost pulled the trigger a couple rounds ago. (tlance talked me out of it.) We all know what 1st-year Trestman offenses can do. And with a rookie on one side and no Pitta, I think the Ravens can talk "pitch count" all they want with Smith... he's gonna be targeted IMO.
3) Already have 4 WR. But two are on bye 7. Not sure I plan to backup Manning for 1 week. Almost talked myself out of Smith and was leaning towards a K. But didn't have a kicker list handy at work (I'm a mailman). But then I started wondering if some of these teams that we would get a kicker from might change their strategy with the new 2-point conversion rule vs the longer PAT. Needless to say I had to focus on work (which was difficult).
4) On the way home, I called tlance and we talked. Decided that if I'm right about Smith and don't draft him, then it would be worse than being wrong.
5) tlance needed to wait until 5 anyway. His fault. I just rode his coattails to buy some extra time.

Aren't you glad you asked?

OK you used your 'phone a friend' all you have left this season is the 50-50 ..... No one can say you don't take this league serious. ...

Did Andy Dalton break the draft?

(I was gonna insert a Dora looking for Boots video, but I'm not as talented as some of you)

While those things are true about Manning, he is unique. He's not like average or mediocre QB's who age. Maybe there is a short list of older QB's who have had success late in their careers (Testaverde, Moon, Favre). Manning is still younger (than those QB) and smarter. He may be the best QB ever.

I'm just saying that I don't see a significant drop off from him yet. If he's still playing in 3 years, sure. Just not yet.

Plus you guys poached all of the QB that would have been decent backups. Manning has bye week 7, so that eliminates Cutler (also bye 7) and only leaves the likes of RG3, Alex Smith, Foles, Cassel, or Bortles.

And of these only Foles and Cassel have favorable matchups in week 7. Yikes!

And RG3 is 50/50 at best to not only be healthy week 7, but also still be the starter.

Dorial Green Beckham.
If he doesn't Josh Gordon it this year, could be in line for some good garbage time stats.
I highly doubt Mariota puts them in the lead in the 1st half very often, and I just couldn't pull the trigger on Brian Quick, even if I really wanted to.

1st round talent, multi-million dollar body, ten cent head.
Why is that so common?
Oh yea, everyone in these kids' lives have been telling them that they are the greatest thing ever since they've been 13yrs old.

Also, there is a few DST that are left that I could live with, so figured 1 has to be out there by my next pick.

My personal thoughts are DGB will wash out faster than Titus Young, but been wrong plenty before

hard to argue with that assessment.
But it's also hard to argue against 6'6", 225lbs, and a 4.4s 40 at this stage in the draft!

total dart throw, but hey, you never know.
One thing I do know, Justin Hunter has yet to live up to his potential, so TEN has to be willing to give someone else some snaps on the outside this year.
Would still prefer Mettenburger over Mariota if it was my team, but it's not.

and @Barilko is on the clock

You don't think beckham will be the new Beckham??? Honestly though, he has the opportunity to easily be a top 30 WR...
