Somebody should throw an octopus on Beckman. He is an embarrassment.

Watching Chicago and Tampa in this series at least gives me hope for the Sabres future.

I really hope they follow the Chicago model and not the Edmonton model.

Yep. This team is something in this day and age. I hate how I can't hate anything about them.

Except Versteeg. Fucking guy.

Versteeg is from Lethbridge, the only redeeming quality of that town is the House of Lethbridge brewery.

My old man worked literally everywhere in the Prairies. Every little hell hole from Northern Sask to Southern Alberta. asked him once which hellhole he hated the most. Before I even finished asking he said Lethbridge, finished his beer and went to take a shit.

I'll take your word for it.

Good news: next season starts now.

Bad news: I'm still a Leaf fan.

Hopefully things get silly for us all very soon. Been a pleasure enjoying the season here.

Congrats to Chicago on the Stanley Cup!

I don't care who you root for, you have to respect and appreciate how special this group is - they have the talent, heart and brains and nobody can match up to that - the will in their game is incredible and they are in fact, the model franchise for everyone to look at

Also, my biggest congratulations go to Kimmo Timonen - Kimmo went out on top and I am so happy for him - he is a warrior and an incredible player who did so much in the game - thank you for everything you did in your career and you will always be one of my favorites - I love you Kimmo!

Only time I ever got punched as a bar bouncer was by a gal from Lethbridge. At least I think she was a gal. But her license definitely said she was from Lethbridge.

Congrats to CHI. Nothing but respect for what they have built and sustained. And congrats to the team for the classy way of handling the initial celebration and handshake line. Take note OSH, that's how you do it.

Congrats to the fans in Chicago. Yeah, you might have the Cubs (107 years and counting) but at least you have the Hawks.

Also congrats to Tampa. They beat Price and Lundqvist to get to the Finals, but it sure looked like they just ran out of gas at the end.

It will be interesting to hear the real injury report today.

Does anyone know why the Cup was not at the arena at the start of the game? I thought that very strange, and even stranger, that no one else thought it was strange. I did not watch the trophy presentations. Did the Cup make it on time?

Can the league please hire me as the President of Common Sense? This is your moment and you make fools of yourselves with the Cup debacle. "Wait a minute, we're keeping the cup at a place that is far enough away it gives you the chance to drive 100 mph? Move it closer. Wait a minute, you're waiting for the game to start before you even think about leaving the hotel? I want that thing here at 9 AM on gameday!"

Flooding in the area because of the torrential rain. Cup didn't even make it by the time the game was over.

Only a few minutes delayed, and it wasn't really noticeable. They did an extra interview or two and gave the players a few extra minutes to celebrate. But since they do the Conn Smythe first, that gives them some time too.

1) Last night they said Ben Bishop had a torn groin and Tyler Johnson had a broken wrist

2) There was a storm there with some flooding and it took them a while to get there, but it got there just in time

The Keeper of the Cup said he left the hotel shortly after puck drop.

Why the fuck is the Cup not in the arena like 4 hours before game time? Only the NHL would be so dumb...

/the Keeper also brings the Conn Smythe with him.

I'm guessing Mark Messier had the Keeper tied up in the closet while he took a dump in it. Then it just took a while to thoroughly sanitize it.
