It's like the right hand isn't talking to the left in Detroit. Last year they had a pure pass catching TE, and signed a FA WR who fit best in the slot. Then they drafted Ebron to be a "Jimmy Graham" type TE who played in the slot. This year they look at their O - line and decide they need an OG. Then Denver calls and wants to trade, so Detroit gets Manny Ramirez to play OG for them... and then drafts an OG.

I don't have a problem with the pick itself necessarily, just the thought process surrounding it.
