I don't see them taking a TE in the first which is where he seems slotted. Unlikely they take a CB based on past history and there seem to be a lot of OLB prospects this year so I'm thinking that's where they go.
Anyone know anything about this UCF cat that is declaring early... Jacoby Glenn. He's a sophomore CB.
6'0" 186
2013 RedShirt Freshman year:
52 Tackles, 2 Forced Fumbles, 2 Int's, 15 Passes defended, 2 sacks
FWAA Freshman All American
2014 RedShirt Sophomore year:
48 tackles, 1 Forced Fumble, 7 Int's, 18 Passes defended, 1 sack
AP All America 2nd Team
Pretty epic stats for Freshman & Sophomore seasons. Declaring early probably isn't the smartest move, but could be worth a later round look? Especially since he's part of the lesser known AAC. Might not garner a whole lot of attention.
Hes going early, round 1-2 from what i hear........

Soph...1st rd? Would have to be a stud I'm thinking...I think we're going to see a load of CBs go in the 2nd/3rd round.
Basically 2014 draft all over again... CBs will start flying off in the 2nd.

sophmore all american, rave reviews
"Glenn finished the 2014 season with seven interceptions and 18 passes defended; he was named co-Defensive Player of the Year by the American Athletic Conference. Glenn was also named to the AP All-America Team, the first UCF player to be so honored since running back Kevin Smith in 2007."
Mocks i have seen from rounds 1-3.......
Yep...I think 3 to 4 OTs will go 1st rd...the 2 Qbs, maybe 2 RBs, but 1 for sure...then a ton of DEF players...3 CBs included probably.
I've seen 4 or 5 mocks recently and nearly all of them have PIT taking a CB @ 22, and few have named the same player...I've seen the Wake Forest kid, Johnson, Carter from Stanford, Peters from WAS...all over the board.
I'm hopeful, but with C. Allen being a mystery, I'm more hopeful that Colbert will spend the money on Maxwell...he's not a shutdown guy, but he's big, physical and runs well.
Agree. Definitely see Waynes, Peters, Williams and possibly Rollins in the 1st. I see lots of D-lineman, OLB's & WR's going in the 1st, that's for sure.
I need to start reading more mocks. A lot of the NFL or ESPN mocks I've seen have us taking a Safety in rd 1. If that's what happens then I think we can close the book on Shamarko. I'd much rather go after a CB if the right one is there, and a OLB if not.
Maxwell would be awesome. But I just don't see the Seahawks letting him go that easily. He would have to chase the money if he did leave. Carroll has already stated that he is their main priority heading into the offseason.
STRENGTHS: Quick starter out of his stance with burst and long-striding acceleration. Launches himself like a track athlete from his three-point stance, keeping his pad level low with proper leverage.
Agile feet to sidestep blockers in space and terrific speed in pursuit to chase down ballcarriers. The motor never quits, always going full-speed to the ball until the whistle.
Does a nice job re-setting his eyes after his initial rush doesn't work, showing natural dip to turn the corner around the tackle without slowing down. He is at his best when using his length to extend, lock out and drive blockers backwards. Productive career with 24 starts under his belt.
WEAKNESSES: Lean and lanky build with average bulk and needs to develop his upper- and lower-body strength. Rushes too upright and needs to show more consistent bend. Average functional power and needs to more consistently avoid bodies near the line of scrimmage, too easily slowed by contact.
Better pass rusher than run defender and needs to do a better job holding the edge. Hand technique needs work to better stack-and-shed and untie himself from blockers. Hyperactive and needs to be more efficient with his movements to eliminate wasted momentum.
Will get too far upfield at times and creates more ground to cover for himself. Shows flashes of burst, pop and pass rush moves, but doesn't consistently marry his athleticism, power and technique together from snap-to-snap. Limited experience dropping in space or playing in reverse.
STRENGTHS: Demonstrates an impressive combination of speed, fluidity and physicality that make him an ideal outside corner prospect for the next level. Good size for the position and not shy about sticking his body into the middle of the action. Will slip or fight through blocks and aggressively pursues ball carriers to deliver forceful hits.
WEAKNESSES: Can be a victim of his own aggressiveness, and give up big plays when attempting to jump passes. While he is willing in run support, Williams also will miss the occasional tackle, leading to backs and receivers picking up significant extra yardage.
STRENGTHS: Salty cornerback who plays with passion and intensity. Outstanding hands and effective playing the ball. When he's in position, makes it extremely difficult for receivers to make the catch. Has feel for deep routes and understands when to turn and run. Reliable wrap-up tackler who breaks down in space and sticks his face into the target. Showed improved understanding of off coverage and how to restrict throwing windows as 2014 season progressed.
WEAKNESSES: Skinny and tight-hipped with limited athleticism. Stiff and upright in his labored backpedal. Feet aren't always under him. Loses his footing at times in transitioning forward from backpedal. Unable to click and close with instant burst. Waits to see quarterback throwing before making a hard close from off coverage. Opens hips early in press coverage. Lacks recovery quickness and athletic ability to close distance when he's fooled. Doesn't have natural feet and deep speed for consistent man coverage in space.
