I'm not quite sure why Hextall feels Konecny may be more suited as a RW for us when I would be grooming him for the 2nd Center position right off the bat, but I have to trust him after watching him handle that draft. Last I checked, we had plenty of solid RW's, but really needed that 2nd Center to light it up offensively behind Giroux.

I think that they want to stick with G, Coots and Schenn at center so Konecny at wing makes sense. You also have Laughton who will have more experience.

Schenn needs to grow up quickly here if he's going to be counted on as our second line center. Otherwise, I'm alright with everything. 18-29-47 and -5 isn't going to cut it.

Yep

With different guys knocking on the door, he's the x-factor - if he takes the next step, this team can be way better - if not, they'll have to consider their options

I totally agree. We don't know how good Coururier can be offensively but we do know he is a great shutdown 3C. Schenn is a winger in Philadelphia and I think Konecny has a better chance of bumping Laughton down the depth chart than vice versa

All that I know is that they need to figure this all out sooner than later. Let guys play a set position give them the best chance to succeed.

Yeah, with Ghost's emergence and just how deep our pool is I had kinda forgotten about Provorov in particular. Feels great having an absolute blue chipper at a position of need.

We have a 1st and two 2nds this year without having traded anyone yet. Depending on how we fall with the playoffs and lottery we could really be loading up again
