3*WR Lawrence Lee has decommitted. From what I can gather, Jones kinda told him it would be best to look around. We just offered Neiko Creamer's teammate, 4*WR Freddy Canteen and lead for Lauderdale and are still in on 4*WR Malone. I think we'll fill his spot with a solid WR by NSD.

Got a commit today Gavin Bryant - Yahoo! Sports

From his recent visit:

“this is my first time up here,” he said. “it’s nice. It’s, like, pretty much one of the best schools that i’ve went to so far." “i liked the field,” “the field is big. I’ve been to a couple fields that was big, but there wasn’t none bigger that looked better than that one. Well, ‘bama was all right. Them two are about the same.”

“they’ve been after me hard for a while, and today they showed me so much love — like, more love than i got from all the other schools,” he said. “but i’ve got one more visit coming up, and that’s miami — and probably kentucky. I’m going to check them two out, and then that’s probably when i’m going to make my decision." “the coaches (at tennessee), they showed me a lot of love. All the other schools i’ve been to, they’ve showed me love. But they haven’t showed me as much love as all these coaches, and that’s what i kind of like.”

“coach thig’s the main one i’ve been talking to. He’s crazy. I like him,” “he told me i’ve got, like, two people to beat out at the position i play, but i can play, like, all the positions at linebacker. There’s, like, four that would be here when i get here — three or four — but he said it probably wouldn’t be hard for me to step in and try to take somebody’s spot or beat somebody out.

Lol, I thought the same thing, I'm guessing he maybe meant the stadium? Idk

Supposedly he has grade concerns and has also said he didn't want to leave the state. If he gets his grades together and Auburn or Satan comes knocking, then I'll be a little concerned.

"I didn't want to leave the state but the schools that I wanted that was in-state was kind of holding back on me," Bryant told InsideTennessee. "Tennessee wasn't holding back. They gave me the shot, and I think it was a big shot out of all the rest of them that I had. So, I went on campus at Tennessee and saw the depth chart. They want like four linebackers. I have the chance to play and step up and start."

Looks like early playing time is big for him and with the LB class Alabama signed last year, I doubt that he is a top priority. Don't know about Auburn though...

Yeah, if he isn't that interested in competing for a starting job I doubt he'll want to play at Bama (cause of said LB depth at Bama). I think he stays with y'all, assuming his grade situation is in order. Good coach, nice facilities and good chance of early playing time all seems like it'd be right up his alley and y'all can offer all of the above.

3* on Rivals, 4* on 247 and espn. I'll split the difference and say he's a decent LB, probably not a Hightower or McClain, but could be a solid contributor. Guess we'll know in a few years (assuming he signs and gets in).
