Tennessee will be making its last round of visits this week and that includes Adoree Jackson as he continues to be pretty wide open at this point but plans to narrow things down to four schools by the end of the week. We expect Tennessee to make the cut once again and be in that final four.

Four-star running back Derrell Scott will be announcing his decision Monday at 3:15 EST and Rivals.com will have a live stream and we will have it linked on the message board.

Since his in-home visits with Tennessee and South Carolina on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, everything around Scott has been pretty quiet. But, we still continue to believe that the momentum has stayed in Tennessee's favor throughout the weekend heading into his announcement on Monday.

No one is quite sure what Scott is planning on doing because he has played everything very close to the vest, but the vibe continues to be the Vols are the team to beat heading into the day of the announcement.

Horky is a 6’2″/190 lb in-state recruit from Brentwood, TN. The specialist is rated by 247Sports as a two-star prospect. Horky won’t be a scholarship player. His only scholarship offer came from Murray State, which isn’t unusual for a long snapper.

247Sports’ composite rankings have Horky as the top long snapper in the nation.

Do schools not offer football scholarships to long snappers...?

Derrell Scott commits to Tennessee: Derrell Scott - Yahoo! Sports

Huge pickup!

I think Jackson goes to UF or USC, but we will be in it till the end. We simply need to hold on to what we have now. Looks like Hendrix is firm all Vol after the Mizzou visit. I am worried about Cory Thomas though. If we lose him, Michael Sawyers might be the fall back.

Look can happen between now and next Wed.

Idk, I don't believe it's a huge priority. I think most teams almost always have somebody that they can develop into a long snapper. They're not rated very highly either, kinda like when it comes to kickers.

On 4* DT Michael Sawyers:

Just spoke to Sawyers

Just spoke to Michael Sawyers, who absolutely raved about his visit. Said Josh Malone was his player host, loved the time he spent with Vols defensive line coach Steve Stripling and said it "was an unbelievable" experience when Butch Jones offered him his scholarship papers.

Said comparing UT now to what he had seen in the past was just night and day. Said everything was top-notch and what really stood out was Butch Jones' quest for excellence in all facets and loved the renewed academic emphasis at UT. Academics are a very important component for Sawyers.

Liked his time with Malone and Jason Carr. Malone, Jalen Hurd and some of those other guys Sawyers knows from the Midstate and recruiting circuit said what stands out most is that the Vols' coaches have not changed a bit from recruiting to getting onto campus. Same people, same demands.

Maybe best quote was "Butch Jones isn't going to be satisfied with an SEC Championship. He wants to win a National Championship."

Sawyers will pick from GT, Ole Miss and the Vols on Wednesday, with UT clearly leaving a very favorable impression this weekend.

Full story later on VQ.

I'm thinking Sawyers will be a Vol come signing day.

And also hoping nobody jumps ship.

Doesn't look very likely that Corey Thomas will be a Vol come NSD.

"I really haven't come up with a decision yet," he said Monday in an interview with Tigerillustrated.com. "But Clemson is on top right now."

Barton Simmons addressing Vandy fans on the possibility of Barnett switching:

Not to be the wet blanket here but Id like to state again that I don't think there is anything to the Derek Barnett stuff. Just don't want y'all to get overly excited about this one.
-Barton Simmons

Let's hope he's right. :hope:

Final prediction:

We lose Thomas to Clemson and get Sawyers. No real drama so to speak. This will be an awesome class.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Just hoping we can hold on to what we've got and not lose any major commitments.

Read that Orlando Brown and Chris Weathered have grade issues, so wouldn't be surprised if either don't make it in.

Yeah, really is. I read UT signed the most mid-state TN signees since the mid 60's. He's doing a good job winning the state.

He's doing an excellent job and recruiting way better than what Kiffin or Dooley ever did. It takes more than 1 top 5 class to compete in the SEC year in and year out, but it's a great class to build off of.
